Avid release new B6-series titanium option parts

Avid have introduced a range of titanium option parts for the Team Associated B6 and B6D buggies. First up are titanium battery posts that are of a very minimalistic and lightweight design. Weighing in at only 1.2g per set the mounting hardware allows to lower the battery brace by 0.5mm for those slim packs and included in the set come two billet 6AI-4V titanium posts and a pair of 7075-T6 aluminium nuts.

Avid B6/B6D carbon steering block arms

Avid have introduced a pair of carbon fibre steering arms for the Team Associated B6 and B6D 2WD buggies. Maintaining the kit geometry the parts, cut from 2.5mm high-quality carbon fibre, are a direct replacement that scrubs about a gram of weight. The plates come in Avid’s reusable Doodad container and they are available now.

Avid A800 Aura driveline bearing kit & Ti ball studs

Coming from Avid and made for Awesomatix’ A800 touring car are the Aura driveline bearing kit and the titanium ballstud conversion. Starting with the bearing kit, included are a total of 14 ceramic ball races that utilise Si3N4 ceramic balls for smooth rotation and reduced drivetrain drag. The ball bearings come lubed with high-speed AeroShell light oil to further reduce friction. Please note that above image is just a sample with the actual set containing differing sizes and also shielded bearings.

Avid 0.5mm to 2.25mm aluminium ballstud washer sets

Coming from Avid are several aluminium ballstud washer sets for on-road and off-road cars. Precision machined from aluminium, sporting a single chamfered design and coming black anodised the shims work with both M3 and 4-40 ballstuds and they are ideal for many setup purposes such as altering the ballstud height on hubs and shock towers. With their 5.5mm outer diameter they easily fit both on-road and off-road vehicles and they are available in 0.5mm, 0.75mm, 1mm, 1.25mm, 1.5mm, 1.75mm, 2mm and 2.25mm thickness, all of which come in 10-piece packs. Also available is as 12-piece pack of 0.5mm, 1mm and 2mm shims, including four of each type.

Avid B6-series titanium ball stud kit

Avid have introduced a titanium ball stud kit for the Team Associated B6 and B6D off-road buggies. It includes a total of 12 ball studs made from billet 6Al-4V material and sporting 2mm allen heads on top of the ball for easy removal. 40 percent lighter than the kit’s steel ball joints the titanium parts help to scrub some weight while also looking great.

Avid’s all-new Slop Shock O-ring lube will provide nearly frictionless lubrication for shock and differential O-rings and doesn’t washout or swell from silicone shock oil. The lube comes in a handy 4.5ml container and also protects against corrosion while being fully compatible with the temperature range found in RC racing.

Avid have introduced several Aura bearing sets for the Team Associated B6 and B6D buggies. Available as wheel hub, gearbox or full set the packages include up to 16 single seal or open ceramic ball bearings that use high-speed nylon ball retainers and Si3N4 ceramic balls for tight tolerances and the lowest possible friction. All bearings come pre-oiled with high-speed AeroShell light oil.

Updated Avid B5-series aluminium steering bellcranks

Avid have introduced updated aluminium steering bellcranks for the Team Associated B5-series of buggies and trucks. They offer a revised design and material with the left bellcrank now being made of 7075-T6 alloy in order to improve reliability which was an issue with the older specification especially in truck applications. The new bellcranks still are of a lightweight design for minimal weight gain and they are strong enough to withstand the rigours of racing even on high-bite surfaces and with today’s high-power servos. The set includes the left and right bellcrank and two aluminium crush tubes and it fits all AE fifth generation vehicles such as the B5, B5M, T5M and SC5M.
