MR33 Awesomatix turnbuckle tool

With this new MR33 turnbuckle tool you can adjust the camber and caster on your Awesomatix touring car more precisely and easier than ever. The black anodised aluminium parts feature a pin in the centre which will sit in the ball cup when the turnbuckle tool gets installed from above. Your ball cups will not move anymore when you adjust camber or caster which means that you don’t have to do small corrections afterwards all the time, making your life that bit easier.

Fresh out of Germany from top Touring car racer Max Mächler comes the brand MXLR. Offering customers a large array of products to achieve the best performance both on and off the racetrack, their entire product line, from tungsten weights to high-quality lubricants and specialised tools, is made for enthusiasts who want to maximise the performance of their RC vehicles. All products have been extensively developed and tested at the highest level by professional RC racers. Along with the brand announcement, we will focus on three items from their range, the first two of which are dedicated to the Awesomatix line of touring cars.

Rebellion RC MMX Crossflex V2 aluminium chassis

Rebellion RC’s new Awesomatix MMX Crossflex V2 aluminium chassis is much narrower than the previous version, at only 76mm it improves roll-behaviour and prevent the chassis from touching the ground. The holes for the short swing arms were removed which made it possible to make the rear end narrower which leads to improved on throttle traction. In the front the Crossflex inserts were replaced by the new Y-Stiffener which gives you a lot more flex-setting options. Last but not least they have made new floating-plates for ESC and Electronics, that are available in brass for stock and aluminium for modified for perfectly adjusted car-balance depending on batteries used.

Awesomatix welcomes Martin Hofer to their team

Awesomatix have announced the signing of German touring car specialist and former ETS Champion Martin Hofer to their factory team. Martin will attend all major races including the ETS, Euros and other well known events. Furthermore his urge to perfection will be an additional help for the proactive development of the Awesomatix brand and products. Martin had the following to say about the deal:

I still vividly remember the first race Awesomatix burst onto the ETS stage back in 2011, for it was also my first ETS victory. Back then this little known weird Russian car was all the talk in the pits because it was so radically different. As a curious engineer I have followed their progress ever since and I am very glad to finally make the jump and join the team. I thank everyone at Yokomo and Ronald in particular for the amazing time. As this year of change concludes I feel excited again and cannot wait to see everyone at the races. Stay healthy.

RC Maker A12 shim plate set & damper guard

RC Maker have produced their first option parts for the newly released Awesomatix A12 1/12th scale car. First up is a carbon front ride height shim plate set which makes it much easier to make aggressive ride height adjustments on the fly. The separate shims just slide in when loosening the screws, and the front being a solid plate is much easier to install than 3 separate shims. Very handy for asphalt racing or when using big tires. Next up is a carbon damper guard that was developed particularly for asphalt. After some feedback from team drivers running on asphalt, they found the damper section of the chassis began to wear on bumpy tracks. This 0.5mm stick on plates act as a guard and prevent the damper burring over on the edges and touching the output shafts, effecting the smoothness of your dampening.

Officina RC A800 tungsten copper screw kits

Officina RC have presented two screw kits dedicated to the Awesomatix A800 using their tungsten/copper screws. Made in Italy, the screw kits are named rich and millionaire, the former made up of 21 screws, 13 M3x5mm screws replace the original ones for fixing the bulkheads and the motor mount, while the 8 M3x6mm are used for fixing the arms. The millionaire kit is composed by 18 M3x5mm screws, 8 M3x6mm and 7 M3x8mm ones, the additional screws for the servo mount and the bellcrank, as well as for the bar mount and bumper.

RC Maker MMX GeoCarbon V3 arms

Building upon their very popular GeoCarbon V2 Arms for the Awesomatix A800 MMX, RC Maker are excited to present their V3 arms. Featuring front steering arm options for both single and double bellcrank steering, as well as rear steering arms, they feature duplicated geometry of standard arms and provide more flex on the toe axis, which in testing yielded more traction. The V3 Arms now feature a pressed 7075 aluminium M3 threaded insert, so now you can screw the ball stud directly into the arm.

Rebellion RC MMX topdeck option

Rebellion RC now offer two more top deck options for the Awesomatix MMX, a single and two-piece version. Both are very similar in design, wrapping around the spur gear, with the single piece best suited for high to very high traction, while the two piece top deck helps improve front end in-corner steering depending on which screws you use. All bulkhead-holes are 3,1mm to improve flex and reduce tweak, and both are available in 1.5mm or 2mm thick carbon.
