RC Maker A800MMX slim battery mounts & battery weight

RC Maker have announced the release of new optional parts in the form of A800MMX GeoCarbon battery mounts for the use with slim-type battery packs as well as a slim LCG brass weight. Starting with the battery mounts, slim batteries are narrower and require smaller hooks for installation. RC Maker have modified their original GeoCarbon battery hook design for the narrower batteries, giving drivers a stylish option for securing the new range of slim battery packs. The set includes a 2mm spacer to raise the hooks for increased support, are adjustable left to right for correct balance and fitment, and also support integration with RC Maker’s floating battery mount sets for Awesomatix/Xray or Yokomo.

MR33 A800FX 1-piece carbon fibre top deck

Coming from MR33 and made by Raceberry is a 1-piece carbon fibre top deck for the Awesomatix A800FX FWD touring car. The upper deck is of an asymmetrical 1-piece design, making for different torsional flex characteristics compared to the original 2-piece assembly while an additional brace in front of the rear bulkhead stiffens the rear area which can be helpful in higher grip conditions. The top deck is available from now on.

Torpine 1/10th on-road brass screw kits

Coming from Torpine are their new brass screw kits for a range of current on-road touring and FWD cars. The fasteners, intended for the use in the lower areas of the chassis, are precision made from high-quality brass material and due to being heavier than standard steel screws, they help to lower the overall centre of gravity of a car while adding a certain weight. Available are a 52-piece kit for the Xray T4’20, a 39-piece kit for the Xray X1’20, a 59-piece kit for the Awesomatix A800MMX, a 54-piece kit for the Awesomatix A800FX, a 51-piece kit for the Serpent SF4 and a 44-piece kit for the ARC R11F. Also available are 8-piece sets of M3x5mm, M3x10mm and M3x12mm countersunk head screws.

Rebellion-RC A800FX Crossflex aluminium chassis

RC-Carbonstore have introduced their all-new Rebellion-RC Crossflex chassis for the Awesomatix A800FX FWD touring car. The main plate is machined from high-quality aluminium and features Rebellion-RC’s signature Crossflex technology that allows to add brass inserts for the lowest possible centre of gravity while enabling the driver to fine-tune chassis flex by using different amounts of screws to tighten down the inserts. The idea was to become able to adjust the weight-balance as well as the flex individually with every insert by using different fixing positions without the need of changing the whole chassis; with a standard chassis being always hard front/rear or soft front/rear, but not hard front/soft rear. When the brass inserts are fixed at a 90 degree angle to the driving direction they almost have no influence to the flex, but if attached using the remaining – cross-positioned – mounting points, the inserts decrease the flex. To make the system work the fixing points for the “hard” setting are 0.3mm lowered to make for a free movement at “flex” setting, and when using the “hard” setting drivers need to insert the included 0.3mm shims to be able to access the desired “hard” flex settings. The chassis alone weighs in at 83g with the fully brass’ed up variant weighing in at 147g.

Awesomatix ADC Advanced Damper Cups set

Awesomatix have introduced their new ADC Advanced Damper Cups set for the D2.2 dampers. The kit is designed to simplify the maintenance of the D2.2 dampers and reduce the amount of rebuild routines. The new design makes for easier air removal and it allows to add oil into the damper body without the need of a full disassembly. The ADC set is suitable for all D2.2 dampers, it comes including a handy damper cap wrench and more details on the conversion can be found here.

T-Works introduce new A800MMX optionals

Coming from T-Works are new optional parts for the Awesomatix A800MMX touring car. First up is a 24-piece set of ball ends made of 64 grade titanium. Included are eight 5mm and 16 4.8mm ball ends that not only lower the overall weight of the car but they also add visual impact and corrosion resistance. Also coming is a 13-piece set of 64 grade titanium turnbuckles as a replacement for the standard parts. The lightweight titanium turnbuckles make for a cool factory look, a low weight and they come including a suitable turnbuckle wrench. Last but not least are a total of four screw sets including a black 93-piece all-aluminium set, a 93-piece all-titanium set, a 93-piece mixed aluminium and titanium set as well as a 113-piece gold colour steel screw kit. The titanium and alloy sets will greatly lower the car’s overall weight while the gold-coloured set mainly adds bling and ups corrosion resistance.

H2 Racing Development A800MMX flex cut top deck

Coming from H2 Racing Development is a new flex cut top deck for the Awesomatix A800MMX. Machined from genuine 2.0mm Torayca carbon fibre the top deck offers improved torsional flex due to a cut front section, making it possible to run aluminium main chassis already in lower bite track conditions which can improve overall stability without sacrificing steering or rear traction. The top deck will become available separately and it should be up for grabs from March.
