Capricorn C804, C04 & TE04 progressive shocks

Capricorn have introduced new shock bodies and pistons for their C804, C04 and TE04 platforms that create progressive shock action. The inner part of the shock bodies feature machined pockets that are wider at the bottom and narrower at the top and in combination with a special shock piston, a progressive shock action can be obtained that starts on the soft side while becoming harder during the shock compression. Testing has shown that the shocks will assist with stability and provide higher cornering speeds. The shock bodies will become available for the 1/8th scale C804, as well as the 1/10th scale C04 and TE04 platforms.

Capricorn C04 rear linkage system

Coming from Capricorn and made for their brand new C04 platform is an optional rear linkage system. The kit allows to use a turnbuckle and ball cup system instead of the original rear upper arm which will greatly increase the flex of the rear arms, something that can be beneficial in certain temperatures and track conditions. The inner part of the linkage will have the same adjustability as the original design as adjustments of the roll centre will be carried out by aluminium eccentric inserts.

With the 2020 IFMAR 200mm Worlds in mind Dominic will focus on 1/10th racing this season and he has the following to say about the deal:

I’m happy to announce that I will drive for Capricorn from now on. After 7 years with Serpent I felt it’s time for a change and Capricorn was the best choice for me. The cars showed great performances the last years and the brand will always improve. I’m looking forward for a good cooperation and more luck in my racing future. The focus this year will be again more on my favourite class 1:10 for the world championship in Australia. Thanks to Patricio for the trust in me. See you on the track.
