Creation Model have announced the addition of Italy’s Alberto Picco to the Infinity factory team. The multi-time Euros and Worlds finalist leaves behind many years as an independent driver and he will use Infinity’s 1/8th on-road kits from now on. His campaign will include both national and international events and Creation Model are looking forward to a successful 2017 and beyond.

Creation Model have announced the signing of Japan’s Takaaki Shimo to their team. The long-time Mugen development driver will be part of the company’s nitro research and development program and Creation Model are really happy to welcome Shimo San on board to race Infinity’s nitro on-road cars both on a national and international level. Takaaki says:
I’m pleased to join one of the strongest team I ever see in my racing career; I’m really excited to team up again with some of team mates I shared good times in the past like Lamberto, Francesco and Nikaido San. I will spend all my efforts to develop the Infinity nitro platforms for the upcoming season and beyond. It’s a new chapter of my life and I hope it could be a successful one once again. Infinity have introduced new optional parts for their 1/8th nitro on-road car. First up is a 5mm chassis conversion kit that will improve the car’s handling and traction on low-grip tracks. While being 1mm thinner than the kit chassis the 5mm variant also offers a 1mm longer wheelbase and it comes including all needed parts such as a new side belt, an updated carbon belt tensioner and mounting hardware.
The driver market is in full swing these days and the latest pilot to swap teams is Italy’s Dario Balestri. The long-time Capricorn factory driver, multiple European Champion and Worlds A-finalist will teamed up with Creation Model and will be campaign Infinity’s 1/8th and 1/10th nitro on-road cars while helping with future developments. Dario says:

Following yesterday’s announcement regarding Lee Martin leaving Mugen, Team Infinity have today confirmed that the British driver will be joining their International team. A World class off road driver, a former multiple European champion and multi time Worlds finalist who has been competing at the highest level for many years, he joins the Infinity team, which up until this point has focused on onroad, to help work on the company’s upcoming 1/8th offroad project. Lee had the following to say about the deal:

Infinity have announced it has formed a new partnership with Masayuki Miura and Speedmaster Japan. SMJ has vast experience across all classes of racing at the very highest level and Miura has been a contributing factor in many World Championship wins over the last 15 years. With Infinity having many new product lines planned this cooperation will help to expand all future developments and also race team activities. Infinity president Kenji Taira states:

Team Infinity have announced the addition of Germany’s Oliver Mack and Armin Weihert to their already star studded factory team. Oliver, who spent close to a decade with Shepherd, claimed his first EFRA European A title with the German team in 2015 is joined in the move by long time pitman Weihart who has worked at Shepherd for more than a decade. The pairing has already had a successful first outing with the car during last weekend’s Novarossi Trophy in Fiorano with the next big races being the German Nationals followed by the fourth and final round of the ENS held in Fiorano in October. Oliver has the following to say about the deal:
I want to thank Shepherd and the Schäfer family for the past 8 years that were crowned by the European Championship title in 2015. I am now looking forward to the new adventure with Infinity. My first outing with the new car was already pretty successful and I am very excited to run it at the German Nationals and the ENS in Italy.
