Exotek Exo-Six.2 alloy gear box set

Made for Exotek’s new Exo-Six.2 and older Exo-Six chassis conversion kits is an aluminium gear box set. The limited edition item is machined from 7075 aluminium and it provides a solid, tweak-free design that is about 8g lighter than each of the stock plastic TB05 gear boxes. Being 25 percent percent lighter than stock also means substantially lower centre of gravity for improved chassis roll. New camber mounting points are more inboard for smoother handling when running longer camber link lengths and more robust to resist breakages as in the stock plastic mounts. Additional features include a new bearing-mounted swaybar collar system and precise bearing guides for a much more free drive train versus stock. The set included a single gear box with sway bar mounting hardware and it is usable on the Exo-Six.2 and Exo-Six chassis conversion but not the Exo-Five or stock Tamiya chassis.

Exotek Exo-Six.2 TB05 chassis conversion set

Exotek have introduced their new Exo-Six.2 chassis conversion set for the Tamiya TB05 and Evo6 kits. The set transforms the stock TB05 into a high performance shaft drive terror, ideal for spec 25.5 and 21.5 motor classes. The set utilises a low profile all-alloy steering set that uses eight bearings for precision steering movement with a new 1-piece centre mount servo mount also included. The extra lightweight LCG motor plate set with centrally mounted and triangulated base ensures solid motor mounting and superb gear mesh while being independent of the top plate to reduce tweak and to provide better top plate flex traits. The new 3-piece LCG motor plate design also makes for easier pinion gear meshing and changes and easier spur gear changes. The included 2mm thick USA made premium carbon fibre chassis offers superb flex traits for rubber tyre racing with the ultra narrow chassis layout reducing chassis scrub thanks to being only 79mm wide. Motor placement is positioned on the left side of the chassis to induce better on power stability and a new one-piece, hard anodised, spur mount/input shaft eliminates most of the heavy stock TB05 centre driveline parts. The new, hard-anodised centre shaft drive cup uses plastic pucks for reduced wear and quieter drive line and a lightweight heavy duty carbon fibre centre driveshaft is also included. Other features include a LiPo cradle system with adjustable sliding holders for preferred weight balance. New LiPo tabs and posts are included to utilise both full-size and LCG 7.4V LiPo packs.

Exotek RB7 LiPo cups and mount system

Coming from Exotek is an adjustable LiPo cup battery hold system for the Kyosho RB7 and RB6 buggy and trucks. It allows to adjust the battery quickly, forward or way back, with ease as track conditions call for it. The system securely cradles the battery in place for added chassis flex compared to taping the battery to the chassis and it is lightweight, easy yet secure battery hold in and removal. The carbon fibre construction ensures lightness and makes factory looks with machined alloy mounting bases. The set is for experienced hobbyists as it requires a 1/8”/3.25mm drill bit and some DIY to mount the alloy base in the side rails. Included mounting instructions and a drill template help to achieve the best possible results though.

Exotek RB7 HD laydown motor plate

Exotek have introduced their new stealthy 2-colour anodised 7075 motor heatsink for the Kyosho RB7 laydown 3-gear transmission. The heavy duty 3.25mm thick mounting plate is stronger than the stock plate therefore eliminating motor flex to insure better gear mesh and the black motor plate helps reduce your motor temps while the built in gear cover is stronger and easier to work on than the stock plastic cover to insure that the body does not press the cover onto the spur gear in hard tumbles. The customised polished black base with red chamfered accents goes great with Kyosho kit parts and the plate, that weighs in at 13g only, is also usable for the entire RB6 buggy and truck series using the laydown gearbox.

Exotek TLR22 5.0 alloy adjustable rear hub set

Coming from Exotek and made for the TLR22 5.0 is an aluminium adjustable alloy rear hub set. The set includes precision machined delrin hub height inserts that allows to set the hinge pin at stock level or raise the hub in 1mm increments for +1, +2, and +3 settings. Tested with team driver feedback, this is a key tuning aid for matching the adjustable differential height as it keeps the axle and bones level when raising or lowering the diff height inserts, making it easier to lower the ride height for high grip conditions. The set is a direct bolt on to the 22 5.0, and 4.0 etc with 67mm bones, with no other modifications or additional parts needed. The default setting matches the 22 5.0 stock geometry, however the two rearmost ball stud holes have been removed as these are rarely used. The hubs also allow for the full wheelbase adjustments similar to the stock hubs. The all-7075 alloy hub construction comes polished and with a black and silver chamfer finish with four machined delrin inserts included and it only weighs one gram more than the hub it replaces.
