Made for the D418 1/10th scale 4WD buggy is the new V2 front shock tower from HB Racing. Machined from high-quality carbon fibre the shock stay is of a new design with a reduced amount of upper shock mounting locations and an updated, more laydown geometry that will improve the performance in various track conditions. Includes with the shock tower comes mounting hardware in the form of washers and screws.
New from VRP is the V3 rear shock tower for the HB Racing D819 and E819 line of buggies. The tower features new shock mounting holes that are mid spaced. This is the newest mounting positions being ran on the HB buggies. Another feature added to the V3 tower is the wing mounting holes. There are sets of holes that allow drovers to use the stock wing mount in the stock locations as well as move them up, or use the MBX8 wing mount for a finer wing height adjustment. The V3 shock tower is available in silver anodised aluminium as well as carbon fibre.
HB Racing have announced the signing of Indonesian off-road star, Jason Nugroho to their team. Coming from HB Racing are new narrow design hex hubs for the D819 1/8th scale buggy. The hex design wheel adapters are available in two variants with the first being a conventional alloy construction. These are standard equipment on the new D819 buggy. Each lightweight hex hub weighs in at three grams and they fit all previous 1/8 buggies and truggies as well. Also new is a pair of heavy brass narrow hex hubs. The heavier brass hubs make the car easier to drive and less sensitive on slippery tracks. They also give a more stable feeling for aggressive driving. Each heavy brass hex hub weighs 10.5 grams and they fit all previous 1/8 buggies and truggies. The narrow ally and brass hex hubs help racers to adjust overall width with the variety of wheels and tyres available on the market.
Coming from JConcepts and made for HB Racing’s forthcoming D819 1/8th nitro buggy is the new S15 body shell. The S15 blends performance features on the popular Silencer body with new features such as mid-body winglets and rear stabilizer kick-up. The roof of the body remains strong with the upper fin in position for stability and tracking ability. The engine area remains clean and a deep rooted position allows the engine head maximum side exposure to air and escape. The front and rear body mount area is cleanly designed and allows for a drop-fit on the D819 and D817V2 kit variants. For the precise fit, the design has undergone changes to match the HB Racing chassis side-guards and body mount positioning. The S15 stance cockpit allows ample fuel tank access, a smoother high-speed windshield transition which tackles even the most high-speed conditions. The hard edged chamfering provides the classic JConcepts look while also delivering aero benefits and perfect decal positioning. Each body comes with window masks and a decal sheet.
HB Racing have released first information on their forthcoming D819 1/8th nitro buggy kit. The latest incarnation of the World Champion line of buggies adds the latest high performance parts to keep it ahead of the competition. Topping the kit is the new JConcepts Silencer S15 clear body, a popular choice among HB Racing team drivers. A new 1-piece design machined aluminium engine mount ensures simplicity, weight savings, and improved reliability. Mounting the engine and setting the gear mesh is easier than ever with the innovative new asymmetric engine mount cams. A heavy duty machined and lightened steel spur is now included for added durability and HB have fine-tuned the suspension with a new front B mount, revised rear hub carrier graphite plates, and new 1-piece sway bar links. Drivetrain refinements include a new front and rear diff pinion and centre outdrive system for easier assembly and maintenance, as well as new centre drive dogbones. All of the new parts are backwards compatible with the D817 and D817 V2 buggies, and D819 is compatible with most HB spare parts and option parts.
