Exotek have released an ultra lightweight centre spool conversion set for the HB Racing D418 buggy. Using the kit reduces the drivetrain’s rotating mass for that extra boost in 13.5T and 17.5T spec racing as the completed spool set weighs only 23g with the spur gear. A machined 69T POM spur gear is included and bolts on to the lightweight alloy spool. The spool housing is also compatible with Exotek 66T, 69T and 72T Flite spur gears or standard 48p Kimbrough gears. The set requires the use of the stock diff cups, bearings, steel pins and large O-rings form the D418 centre diff.
Coming from T-Works are four new lightweight bearing kits for vehicles such as the Xray GTX, Kyosho Inferno GT3, HB Racing RGT8 and Mugen MBX8 Eco. All use 8x14mm rubber-sealed bearings to replace the standard kit bearings for lighter ones. Using the lightweight bearings kits will reduce the unsprung masses for a more nimble handling and a lower overall weight. Also included in the sets are lightweight reducer bushings.
Coming from HB Racing and made for the D418 1/10th off-road buggy are new front and rear anti-roll bar sets. They give racers a wider range of adjustments to help tune the car to different track conditions. Available as separate sets for the front and rear of the vehicle the sets include 1.6mm, 1.8mm and 2.0mm wires, each being labelled for easy identification. The anti-roll bars are stiffer than the original sets and aimed at high bite tracks with astro or carpet surface.
RC Cars Cavalieri from Germany have introduced new carbon fibre option parts for the HB Racing D81x series of off-road buggies. First up are carbon wing flaps for the D817 and D817 V2 buggies. The parts add to the composite rear wing mount and add both structural and aerodynamic stability. Also new is a carbon fibre steering plate for D817, D817 V2 and D815 buggies. The item will reduce overall weight while offering exceptional rigidity. Last but not last is a fuel tank guard for D817 and D815 based nitro kits. The carbon fibre piece is attached to the tank, and using it will lead to less heat being transferred to the tank and fuel, resulting in less fuel tank expansion after long mains.

HB Racing have released first production kit images of their forthcoming D418 1/10th 4WD competition buggy. No additional information, beside what is already known, was given and so it is understood that the buggy will utilise the proven, however slightly updated, D4 series front and rear suspension elements that couple to a newly developed aluminium main chassis plate with updated weight distribution thanks to a front mounted shorty battery, a centre motor position and a more reward-facing centre bulkhead. We bring you more information on the kit as soon as it becomes available.
HB Racing have introduced the latest incarnation of their E817 1/8th E-Buggy platform, the E817 V2. The kit features several updates such as a narrow rear shock tower with revised shock length that offers a wider shock adjustment range while machined aluminium 17.5 degrees front caster blocks have been updated for extra strength. New aluminium steering linkage spacers replace the plastic spacers for improved bumpsteer geometry, more precise adjustment, less flex, and the designers have revised the screw lengths to accommodate the new spacers. Other updates include universal drive shafts, increased clearance ball end links, and updated body mounts. Also included is a clear JConcepts Silencer buggy body and a new moulded nylon rear wing that is lightweight yet more durable than polycarbonate wings.
