JConcepts Team Associated DR10 wheelie bar

JConcepts has designed a new wheelie bar for the Team Associated DR10 which delivers on looks, versatility and performance. A successful design starts with a solid mounting location to resist twist and flex. The aluminium rear wheelie bar mount designed to fit into place provides solid placement. The anodised black with silver chamfer highlighting give the amazing look but more importantly replaces a stock plastic item which shores up a huge issue with the stock wheelie bar assembly. Backing into the design, attaching steel ball-ends to the assembly works wonders when connected to genuine Team Associated ball-cups threaded into aluminium tubes, steel Fin turnbuckles and secured with 3mm jam nuts to hold adjustment and stability.

JConcepts 1989 Ford F-250 LMT & SMT10 body

From JConcepts the new 1989 Ford body in 13” wheelbase is built and fit for trucks such as the Losi LMT and Axial SMT10. The shell offers first class styling, and its exterior is accentuated with a smooth and moulded front and rear bumper. The must-have body of the 80’s was featured on several of the most popular full- size Monster trucks. During this generation, the Ford always proved to be popular among the truck enthusiasts and always wreaked havoc on the competition. The 1989 F-Series carries over the same body style from the previous generation yet sports a new rounded front clip that improves vehicle aerodynamics over its predecessors. The softened body lines around the rear of the bed and large fender arches around the wheel wells provides the scale monster truck look.

JConcepts analog quick reference calipers

Quick reference dimensions and size considerations are common place in the RC pit area. Racers have asked over and over for a small footprint item that is able to measure small spaces accurately and quickly. The quick reference callipers from JConcepts are analog based and capable to be locked into place to secure or save dimensions for later or to copy side-to-side. The all-aluminium built and anodised item, built from 4 pieces, is a very technical and precise piece. The quick reference tool has the ability to measure inside surfaces and outside surfaces depending on which end is chosen for use. A graduated scale is laser etched onto the item to allow the user to measure in .5mm increments. A thumbscrew allows the sliding plane to be locked into place for quick comparisons and reference distances. A display window is machined into the upper slide where dimensions are shown up to an overall length of 80mm.

JConcepts Mambos Drag racing rear tire

Mambos by JConcepts is the latest wide-body tire built specifically for RC Drag Racing. At the heart of this design is the 2.2 x 3.0” configuration but stretched out to create a larger contact patch. Forward traction is the name of the game and the goal of the larger area, in theory, gives a racer a slight advantage in the ‘hook and go’ department. One of the tricky aspects to drag racing rear tires is tire expansion and controlling this aspect of power and acceleration. The JConcepts design team thickened the entire carcass, added new inner sidewall ribbing on the inside and outside and then an industry first waffle inner weight reduction pattern. The waffle pattern accomplishes 2 things, weight reduction and provides some resistance to expansion to split some difference between a heavily restricted belted tire and a tire with no inner structure. Another exciting feature designed into the sidewall is the ability to add a beadlock style wheel such as the new Starfish wide beadlock wheel. The rear tire has an inspired look with a wide-body footprint so the driver can feel the straight-line forward stability with very light rolling resistance.

JConcepts Starfish & Coil front & rear wheels

Drag racing continues its rise in the radio control scene and the street eliminator cars are hot commodities. As racers manage to successfully tune in for more performance, they also ask for more options. JConcepts have introduced a wide range of wheels starting with the Starfish Mambo beadlock. The 3-piece design pinches and holds the Mambos tire assembly together while providing one of the most scale looks on the circuit. The drag cars turn serious RPM’s, and the tires are under tremendous centrifugal force while in acceleration. The beadlock setup is constantly under stress to hold the assembly together. The Starfish beadlock wheel is a 5 spoke option delivered in time for the most hardcore street racers wanting to run the wider rear tire option. The inner ring structure with massive ribs fit inside the tire and provides the main base of the beadlock. The inner ring will seat into the radial openings on the tire located on the inside and outside near the bead. JConcepts A2R 190mm TC body

The JConcepts team is back with a follow-up to their A1R touring car body, with the release of the new A2R. The new drivers body has fundamental differences necessary for performance starting straight-away in the front-end area. The shrunken front-end is considerably laid-back, shortening the nose allowing the force to be placed over the front tires. A-pillar rails extend over the hood for some air deflection straight over the nose and strengthens the front wheel well area. The front windshield is tucked back inside the rails sunk and connected to the aggressive roofline giving the A2R its distinctive shape. Behind the front wheel well and in front of the rear wheel well is a definitive edge that strengthens the openings and also provides better race posture. A hard edge runs the bottom of the rocker-panel providing more grit to the design while also providing extra front to rear rigidity.
