JConcepts 2.2″ Fling Kings & Renegades Jr tires

JConcepts have introduced two new 2.2″ versions of their well known Monster truck tires, the Fling Kings and the Renegades Jr. Starting with the Fling Kings, they are the first RC Mega Truck tire, specifically designed to throw mud, dirt, gravel and grass just like the real thing. The giant-sized tires are tall enough to dance through the deepest RC loam, however, it is the tall lugs that separate them from the rest. The 1:1 tires were hand-cut to produce the most wicked looking tires on the block ad the JConcepts tires are uniquely built to replicate a hand-cut set, however, deep tread remains to do the “mega” land damage the drivers and enthusiasts crave. One of the most impressive details about the Fling Kings, they are designed for a JConcepts 2.2” wheel, making them aggressive in appearance while the bead of the tire features the traditional 2 step surface which provides a massive amount of area for glue to rest giving the utmost security for full-throttle mud runs. The Fling Kings measure in at 5.50 x 2.5 x 2.2” and are available in both blue and gold compounds and fit directly to JConcepts wheels.

JConcepts AX10 / SMT10 transmission motor plate

JConcepts has rolled out a sweet looking replacement motor plate for the Axial SMT10, AX10, SCX10 and Wraith vehicles, or similar models equipped with the AXI30491 motor plate. With the evolution of racetracks, high flying jumps are becoming the normal obstacle and it is inevitable that a driver will have a miscue and challenge the durability of the vehicle. Looking at the typical construction of the second operation processes on standard motor plates, it easy to see why bending is sometimes an issue. The design team at JConcepts has incorporated a honeycomb milling affect with placement more suited to surrounding geometry making the plate lightweight and very rigid in multiple directions. The honeycomb features add a 3D look featuring the natural aluminium while the rest is black anodised. Slight chamfering on the 3mm thickness material allows the rather beefy plate to look slim and trim.

JConcepts B6.2 steel front bulkhead

New for the Associated B6.2 comes this steel front bulkhead from JConcepts. A weighty item that is routinely punished is the front-bulkhead on the B6 line of vehicles. While brass material produces a lot of weight it tends to be a little soft as racers bump and grind pipes, jumps and obstacles during a normal outing. With encouragement from Paul Wynn, JConcepts has designed the all-steel front bulkhead to help maintain weight but also significantly improve durability. The steel design helps outlast the brass counterparts and packs the same reversible design for either 25 or 30 degrees of kick-up. The bulkhead has a marked weight (28 grams) and includes the 4 standard countersunk screw pockets and 3mm setscrew offering to pin the hinge pins into place.

JConcepts tire break-in drill adaptor kit

One of the most used tools on the 1/10th off-road racing scene, JConcepts presents their new tire break-in device. It’s a pretty simple combination of a standard hex drive shaft for a typical drill but extended and given some lock driven flats, the simple item turns into a very useful tool around the track. An aluminium 12mm and 17mm hex adaptor slides over the shaft to give racers the option of which type of vehicle (1/10th or 1/8th) they are preparing tires for. The flywheel nut features a large diameter for grip and adjustment and the ability to flip directions for deeper dish shaped wheels. It also has stealth black anodising, laser etched JConcepts.net logo, grippy knurling and a lightened design for quick function and easy storage.

JConcepts 2020 Updated event status

JConcepts have reached out to provide an update on the status of their events scheduled through the end of the year. Some events have had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns or locally governed standards being more restricted on public gatherings. Other events as indicated will go off on schedule starting with the Northeast Turf Nationals in Enfield, Connecticut.

JConcepts 1984 Ford F-250 monster truck body shell

JConcepts have announced the release of their new 1984 Ford F-250 monster truck body shell. Considered to be the last of the “classic” Ford trucks, the 1984 model screams 80’s style and features a Ford oval placed in the center of the grille. The square body trucks from this generation are just plain mean and with the single cab design, long bed and flat body panels, tradition was an important part to the JConcepts design team. The Ford bloodline runs deep with the hard body lines running horizontally top and bottom which helps to create a rigid panel. The front windshield is large and in charge and offers the scale driver a clear view of the road ahead. The JConcepts manufactured body measures 6.50” width and built for a 10.75” wheelbase truck. The body is carved with traditional rectangle arched wheel wells and work perfectly for the typical RC monster truck. The set includes a clear body shell, paint mask for all windows and detailed Ford and JConcepts logo decal sheet.

JConcepts Silent Speed 17T competition brushed motor

The Silent Speed brushed motor by JConcepts is the perfect complement to monster truck racers looking to race sport-mod or scale/trail drivers looking for drive-able and rebuild-able power. One of the best aspects of brushed power is the ability to perform on a budget while performing at a high-level. The 17-turn Silent Speed motor, with dual ball-bearings, adjustable timing can be torn-down, cleaned and re-brushed at any moment for consistent performance. The item is packaged into a handy cylinder giving it a retro vibe of how things were done in the golden age of brushed motors and cushioned at the bottom with a hard density foam so the motor always rests in peace. Also included, an instructional sheet for regular maintenance of the equipment and how, when, and where to go for updates, options, and rebuilding items. JConcepts Cadillac ATS-V Street Eliminator body

JConcepts have introduced their latest Street Eliminator body shell, the ATS-V, Cadillac’s vigorous, brawny contender, eager to represent against all other performance rides. JConcepts took on recommendations from racers and dove into a new project utilizing the coupe style vehicle for the drag racing community. The Cadillac features a V-forged front-end with details chiseled into the headlight area which draws up the fender and over the hood. Undercuts throughout the nose culminate at the bottom with built-in splitter and recess vents. The grille as detailed with the included decal sheet allows the edginess of the Cadillac style to stand out and look massive. The included front hood-scoop brings a drag racing flair and blends up to the gradually shaped windshield with class. The roof is slightly railed, channeling the air over the rear-end and coupe section down to the trunk-lid. Fender flares protrude from the main body shape blend into the railed and splitter along the rocker-panels. The rear trunk cover fits and flows around the back to a recessed center section and allows perfect positioning of the rear taillights. The included taillight decals fold around the individual sections of the quarter-panels to provide that all-important Cadillac look. An included lower support structure and upper top wing is included to bring out another side to the Cadillac which is a drag racing animal. Included in each body set, a 2019 Cadillac ATS-V decal sheet and the paint mask for all windows.
