JConcepts Ellipse SCT tyre

JConcepts have introduced the Ellipse SCT tyre for 1/10th scale short course trucks. The Ellipse, named after the centre bar built into the tread, is a compliment to successful tyres such as the Dirt Webs and Space Bars. The “Web” style tire was built to compete on smooth high-grip indoor and outdoor surfaces which require a finely detailed connected bar pattern. The centre section of the tyre is a home run utilizing a diamond “home plate” footprint to provide massive surface area for better footprint and increased longevity. The web of extensions are unique and have a directional touch giving the racer the ultimate tune-ability. The Dirt Web tyre was originally released during the 2013 racing season and debuted in spectacular fashion with a win at the CRCRC Midwest Championships. Since that time, the Dirt Webs have been an industry leader for indoor performance and often chosen as a control tyre for performance, reliability and consistency. During 2016, the Space Bars were introduced to a victory at the 1/10th Off-Road Nationals in the hands of Ryan Maifield in the 4WD modified class. The Ellipse tyres are available in a selection of compounds such as green, aqua and the ROAR National Champion, silver compound. As a rule of thumb, green compound is conditioned to perform outdoors while aqua and silver remain the favourites indoors. Included in each package, the Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts known for their durable nature and gray colour complete the race tuned package.

JConcepts Speed Shop T-shirt

JConcepts have introduced their new Speed Shop T-shirt. Since the beginning, JConcepts has been interested in one thing, speed. Throughout the years, the company has worked in the shop to create a line-up of products to capture racing wins with a performance-oriented core of racers. Deep within the confines of the shop, the crew created the JConcepts Garage to host videos, talk racing and display winning vehicles and collections. The Speed Shop was born and creates a perfect situation to introduce the new t-shirt specific to the racing crowd past and present who respect the go-fast culture. The black colour shirt is available in adult M to 3XL sizes and features white graphics front and rear.

JConcepts B6 series 15.5mm alloy servo horn

Coming from JConcepts and made for Team Associated’s 6th generation buggies and trucks is a 15.5mm aluminium servo arm. One of the critical points of racing comes from the steering servo and proper servo horn. The horn transfers all the torque from the servo to the steering bell cranks and this piece needs to be created with precision and durability. The JConcepts servo horn created for both 23T and 25T count has all the geometry necessary as a direct bolt-on for the B6, T6 and SC6 generation of vehicles. The broad base of the horn tapers to the connection area where the steering takes place. The heavy-duty boss on top protects the ball-end and provides a hefty surface for steering direction. Small ribs have been added on the sides to help strengthen the unit in a twisting fashion and a deep pocket hides the 3mm standard mounting screw. The entire horn has been retouched with chamfer highlight edging and laser etched with JC and the tooth count for high-end looks and authenticity.

JConcepts 22 5.0 Fin black turnbuckle kit

Following the black colour Fin turnbuckle kit for the TLR 22X-4 4WD buggy, JConcepts have also introduced a set for the TLR 22 5.0 2WD buggy. The base of the design is centred around a 4mm titanium hex size which gradually tapers down into a 3.5mm thread base design which accepts the standard TLR ball-cup configuration. The focus of the styling surrounds the lengthened adjustment hex area and the finned cuts that rotate about the centre. The turnbuckles are lightweight, they are produced with left- and right-hand threads with the left being conveniently marked for easy orientation, and a black colouring gives the stealthiest look in the pits and on the track.

JConcepts Regulator Clod Buster chassis conversion kit

Coming from JConcepts is their new Regulator chassis conversion kit for the popular Tamiya Clod Buster rigid axle monster truck. A deep passion for monster truck racing and performance brought JConcepts full circle with the design of the Regulator Stage 2 chassis conversion kit. The design team had several design goals including weight balance, low centre of mass, the use of engineering materials and pinpoint adjustability to fully compliment one of the longest running vehicles in the RC industry. The Regulator focuses on allowing other existing RC components to work alongside of the design such as readily available body designs, shocks, wheels, tires and behind axle servo conversion kits. The key to the Regulator is the positioning of the battery and electronics in a top access layout and placed deep into the chassis for a low centre of gravity. The fibreglass chassis and bottom plates hold the retro straight rail frame physique and at the base of the chassis, the heavy-duty aluminium cradle supports the suspension and ladder bars. In addition, a brass weight is included for racing in a sanctioned competition where a weight limit is used to even the playing field even further. The brass weight is mounted at an incredibly low position and locks into the cradle which aligns perfectly with the low centre of gravity concept.

JConcepts RM2 120mm red aluminium camber gauge

JConcepts’ popular RM2 120mm aluminium camber gauge is now also available in red colour. The RM2 camber gauge is manufactured from billet aluminium material, machined to high specifications and anodised to a luster. The detailed instrument is available in red anodising and laser etched with graduated measurements from -10 to +10 degrees for a complete range of camber adjustments. The 1/8th camber gauge is 120mm in height and perfect for the larger tyred buggies, trucks, and other vehicles on the market. The unit arrives preassembled with 4mm hardware for the pivot and thumbscrew as the setting knob. The structure features chamfered silver edging, highlighting the design. The alignment arm on the gauge is heavily chamfered which creates the perfect touch point against the tire and wheel. Each gauge comes in a latch box with foam insert which fits snugly around the instrument with heavy cushion.

JConcepts 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo Street Stock body

Coming from JConcepts is their new 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo street stock body shell. The American produced, sinister, wedged shaped vehicle is now released to the RC enthusiast to fit the latest Street Stock converted vehicles on the market. The crew in the JConcepts R&D department tackled one of its finest projects to date and together with Chevrolet licensing has produced the iconic Monte Carlo. The body shell construction is a shape fit for the RC scene. The vehicles which are wide-bodied, flat paneled and have a low-roof line always track well down the racetrack. A low front chin, bumper construction and pocketed headlights immediately look like punishment is headed your way. The long, swooping, and flat quarter-panels are a staple of this generation vehicle and it certainly cuts like a knife on the oval scene. The cab itself is one of the identifiable features of the Monte Carlo and its balanced positioning and sharp lines makes competitors retreat in fear. A small rear spoiler is built into the back of the model and can be trimmed and added in conditions that require more rear traction. Included in each body set, a 1987 Buick Grand National decal sheet and the paint mask for all windows. As always, each body set is backed with JConcepts customer support and racing heritage. The Monte Carlo measures a 10.75” wheelbase and the inside dimensions of the body are 10.00” front and rear. The body is built for a 2WD buggy conversion of any manufacturer and the body can be added to resemble the original 1:1 counterpart.
