JConcepts introduce new B74 & B6.1 optionals

JConcepts have announced the release of new option parts for the Team Associated B74 and B6.1 off-road kits. First up is a set of carbon fibre steering arms for the B74. They are precision machined from 2.5mm carbon fibre material to better outfit and shed some weight from the Team Associated B74 vehicle. The design team has pin-pointed the exact geometry locations of the steering arms and created them in the durable and lightweight material. The arms are symmetric so they can be used on either side of the vehicle and can be neatly installed with the standard kit hardware.

JConcepts YZ-2 series titanium turnbuckles

JConcepts have introduced their Fin titanium turnbuckle sets for the Yokomo YZ-2 DTM 3.0 and CAL3 2WD buggies. The base of the design is centred around a .143” titanium hex size which gradually tapers down into a 3mm thread base design which accepts the standard Yokomo ball-cup configuration. The focus of the styling surrounds the lengthened adjustment hex area and the “finned” cuts that rotate about the centre. The turnbuckles are lightweight, and the original “Fin” design brings out the glamour and quality that makes titanium one of the most sought-after exotic materials in the world. The JConcepts turnbuckles are produced with left- and right-hand threads with the left being conveniently marked for easy orientation. The sets, that are available for the DTM 3.0 and CAL3, also have another feature, a black colouring which gives the stealthiest look in the pits and on the track.

JConcepts RC10T Team truck body

JConcepts have announced the release of their Team Associated RC10T Team truck body. When Team Associated decided to pull the trigger and build a 1/10th Stadium truck, they went all-the-way. In the process, a class was ignited and the RC10T was born. One of the most sought-after looks in the vintage RC community is the look of a stadium truck from the 1990’s and racers love the 10T. There might have been no better look than the RC10T and RC10GT during the golden age of stadium truck and the body design had a lot to do with it. JConcepts, with approval from Team Associated, have reintroduced the genuine RC10T Team Truck body shell to the masses. This allows the faithful to recreate, rebuild and race with authentically styled bodies from the heyday of competitive stadium truck racing. A lot of work went into making this project a reality and thankfully, Team Associated preserved the iconic mould from the 1993 calendar year. JConcepts was able to restore older generation construction and with a blend of today’s materials, the RC10T body is back out on the market. Everyone knows the iconic style, the front hood-scoop which is forged over the front shock geometry along with dead-panned front headlights and grille. The neutral cab design with built-in number plates and roll-bar stand-out which gave enthusiasts their first memory of racing stadium trucks. The quarter round wheel well flares added a bit of realism to the design while the lengthy rear spoiler provided some much-needed rear downforce for slippery race conditions. The body comes with window masks but no decal sheet.

JConcepts Aero S-Type 7” 1/10th buggy rear wing

JConcepts have introduced their next generation Aero S-Type 7” wide rear wing for 1/10th buggies. The wing includes options not yet seen before on a 1/10th off-road rear wing. An extended rear gurney lip makes tuning that much better for more grip on the loose surfaces while running the latest generation in off-road. The base of the wing design is built on the popular Aero wing but with new additions which make the wing more durable, more adjustable and ultimately a great tuning piece. The S-Type wing is a direct bolt-on piece for most 1/10th scale 2WD and 4WD off-road buggies. It features a long chord construction with revised section to incorporate some reinforced ribbing in the vertical plane below the over-hanging gurney. Cut-lines and dimpled locations are positioned throughout for trim and tuning options. The new 7” variant of the S-Type wing was used in competition during the 2019 IFMAR Worlds in Trencin, Slovakia for increased rear traction and it comes as a 2-piece set.

JConcepts 1966 Chevy II Nova V2 body shell

Made for no-prep drag racing is JConcepts’ 1966 Chevy Nova V2 body shell for converted 2WD short course trucks. This 1966 Chevy II Nova shows off an extensive sharp-edged restyle based in part on the Super Nova concept vehicle. In general, proportions are squared up and features including a bold grille and semi-fastback roofline highlight the shape. “Humped” fenders in an angular rear-end were reminiscent of other Chevrolets from the era of style. To bring the Street Eliminator product to market, JConcepts worked together with Chevrolet to incorporate the heritage while also including options to bring out the street racer appeal. The main shell is comprised of a newly created 1-piece design so drivers can more easily fit and finish the beauty of yesteryear. The front-end closure shows off the single headlight style with deep recessed sections along the grille and front bumper to faithfully replicate the original. The rear closure section includes bumper detail, trunk works and vertical taillight cues. In addition, the design team added a sectional rear wing to the project to bring the drag racing inspiration to life. The two-piece rear wing is trunk mounted with a lower support and upper wing with high-speed stabilizing ribs for added performance. Included in each body set, a 1966 Chevy Nova II decal sheet, rear wing option including lower support and upper wing spoiler and the paint mask for all windows. As always, each body set is backed with JConcepts customer support and racing heritage. The Chevy II Nova measures a 12.75” wheelbase and the inside dimensions of the body are 10.75” wide front and 11” rear. The body is built for a 2WD SCT wheelbase length and narrowed to more resemble the original full-scale counterpart. The body comes clear and including a decal sheet with Chevy, Nova, Super Street and JConcepts badges.

JConcepts S15 RC8B3.1 body shell

JConcepts have introduced their S15 body shell for the popular Team Associated RC8B3.1 1/8th scale buggy. The S15 blends performance features of the popular Silencer body with new features such as mid-body winglets and rear stabiliser kick-up. The roof of the body remains strong with the upper fin in position for stability and tracking ability. The engine area remains clean and a deep rooted position allows the engine head maximum side exposure to air and escape. The front and rear body mount area is cleanly designed and allows for a drop-fit on the Team Associated RC8B3.1 and other kit variants. For the precise fit, the design has undergone changes to match the Team Associated chassis side-guards and body mount positioning.
