JConcepts B6-series 1-piece wing mount & wedge

JConcepts has added a new item to the Shapeways store for B6 and B6D owners. The one-piece rear wing mount and wing wedge offers functionality and durability as the mount resists unwanted twisting or tweaking while being able to adjust wing position very quickly in four different positions. Braced in the middle, the seat area carries some inspiration from full-scale racing while the center divider brings the piece together for solid construction, fit and finish. JConcepts blue & black microfibre towels

JConcepts’s recently introduced Dirt Racing Products microfibre towels are also available in a “JC signature” black and blue variant. Perfect for all sorts of cleaning purposes, including tyre and rim prepping prior to glueing, the towels are also good for a range of other duties such as cleaning parts and accessories. The towels measure roughly 30x30cm and they come in sets of one black and one blue towel.

Dirt Racing Products microfibre towels

Coming from JConcepts are the Dirt Racing Products microfibre towels. A favourite pick of Brian “Dirt” Kinwald, JConcepts now offer a specific towel that features split microfibers, making it ideal for all sorts of cleaning purposes including tyre and wheel prepping prior to glueing. The Dirt towels enable the racer to pick up and hold more dust, dirt, and liquid than with traditional cotton, disposable cleaning towels, or even other lesser quality microfiber towels. They are re-useable, machine washable, they can provide many days of use and come as 2-piece set including a black and yellow one.

JConcepts Indoor National Series 2017 – Announcement

JConcepts have announced the 7th year of the Indoor National Series. With a host of sponsors, the INS7 series promises to be one of the best yet, including the consistency of solid locations of the past and a visit to one of the nation’s newest locations, Hobby Action R/C Raceway of Chandler, Arizona. With over 6,000 entries and counting, the JConcepts INS has become the race for racers to showcase their driving skills on a national and regional level while testing themselves against some of the industry’s best drivers. Known for its exciting mix of friendly, fun, world class racing atmosphere, the racing roots of the INS remain unchanged, but is devoted in making 2017 a breakout year in terms of series participation, factory drivers, representatives and professionalism. Making sure the INS gets the best in news media coverage, JConcepts has once again teamed up with Red RC for 2017 to make next year’s JConcepts Indoor National Series an unforgettable race experience. JConcepts Space Bars 4WD front buggy tyre

JConcepts have completed their range of Space Bars 1/10th buggy tyres with the introduction of a 4WD variant. The 2.2″ tyre is designed for the popular indoor track conditions where the surface is mostly built of clay soil. The tread, originally based on the Dirt Webs tyre design, connects uniformly positioned Space Bars to create a stable tyre whose design relies heavily on a larger format of the original Web pattern for great forward acceleration. Inside the supported bar portion rest long horizontal and short vertical alternating bars which help balance side-bite and they back up the Space Bar feature to help minimise wear. The outer edges feature a tiny single rib on each side which proves extra side-bite during heavy cornering and side-loading characteristics. The Space Bar tread sits on a rounder profile carcass with a shorter side-wall which transitions quickly and lands and jumps with increased traction. The plump look of the wide-body tyre grips hard and also gives a sense of comfort for the aggressive driver. The inner ribbing has been updated to keep the tyre expansion to a minimum while still providing a healthy dose of flexibility to the tyre, allowing a greater balance of forward traction and side-bite. The tyre is available in Gold compound and including Dirt Tech closed cell inserts.

JConcepts 8ight 4.0 S2 bodyshell

Made for TLR’s 8ight 4.0 buggy is JConcepts’s latest Silencer S2 bodyshell. Influenced by JC’s S2 1/10th buggy bodies the 1/8th scale variant sports a forward cab, low-profile stance with channeled roof and rear stabilizing fin. The front of the pods have a deep pocketed “force-bars” which have shown to channel some air in a much needed forward position while also providing a more rigid feel to the body. The low-profile side-pods whisk over the electrics and step where necessary, but its the rear wicker section that improves rear-end grip and tightens up the handling. The unique engine compartment adds some innovation to the design and the prefect resting place for the engine head. The channeling directs the air just along the engine and cooling head while still maintaining a very structured look. The clear body set includes window masks and a decal sheet and it is a direct fit to the 4.0.

JConcepts B6 laydown gear shield

Coming through JConcepts’s Shapeways store is the laydown gear shield for the Team Associated B6. The part is a protection device that adds some protection to the spur gear while also shielding the body from unwanted scratches and rubs associated with normal driving use and wear and tear during a typical race outing. The 3D printed part slides directly on the Team Associated transmission case and aligns with the stock geometry. The motor plate installs just over the gear shield and is positioned as normal. The gear shield is protection for the spur gear itself but also protects the low-profile body designs such as the stock Team Associated body and JConcepts S2 body.
