JConcepts B6 CF battery brace & rear thumb bumper

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Team Associated B6 and B6D are a carbon fibre battery brace and a 3-D-printed rear thumb bumper. Starting with the battery brace, the part is CNC-machined from 2.5mm carbon fibre and it is a direct replacement for the stock part. Running different battery positions is possible while maintaining the necessary terminal clearance and providing a healthy holding force to keep everything intact even in the most demanding conditions or the inevitable crash. The brace includes hardware for fitment to each battery possible with four 3x10mm button head screws and four plastic locknuts.

JConcepts B6-series aluminium servo mount bracket

JConcepts have introduced an aluminium servo mount bracket for the Team AssociatedB6 and B6D vehicles. Constructed of billet aluminium and available in either blue or black colours, the mount fits snug inside the chassis servo mounting area increasing the support across while the two screw mounting locations are beefy in design and zeroed in for a direct mount to the chassis. Additionally the bracket has locations on each side for included 3x6mm set screws to help align and maintain the servo’s position during racing conditions, crashes and hard hits. The set screws are intended to touch-off against the servo case and provide additional support keeping the servo in the intended position which helps maintain consistent steering trim. The servo mount bracket can be installed in B6 vehicles without any modifications or additional equipment.

JConcepts B6-series Elephant Trunk style waterfall

Another 3-D-printed part has been added to JConcepts’s Shapeways store in the form of the Elephant Trunk style waterfall for the Team Associated B6 and B6D. Designed for B6-series owners using a laydown transmission, the Elephant Trunk style waterfall replaces the stock unit and is more flexible than the stock piece. The part uses a single column support which promotes flex characteristics giving traction gains associated with these types of adjustments. The mount splits at the bottom to attach using the stock B6 hardware and uses the same pivot ball at the top making it a snap to install. The Elephant Trunk waterfall has already shown success in the hands of Alex Kosciuszek during the JConcepts Indoor National finals event by running the single fastest qualifying run over 5 minutes and it is available through JConcept’s Shapeways store here.

JConcepts B6-series 1-piece wing mount & wedge

JConcepts has added a new item to the Shapeways store for B6 and B6D owners. The one-piece rear wing mount and wing wedge offers functionality and durability as the mount resists unwanted twisting or tweaking while being able to adjust wing position very quickly in four different positions. Braced in the middle, the seat area carries some inspiration from full-scale racing while the center divider brings the piece together for solid construction, fit and finish. JConcepts blue & black microfibre towels

JConcepts’s recently introduced Dirt Racing Products microfibre towels are also available in a “JC signature” black and blue variant. Perfect for all sorts of cleaning purposes, including tyre and rim prepping prior to glueing, the towels are also good for a range of other duties such as cleaning parts and accessories. The towels measure roughly 30x30cm and they come in sets of one black and one blue towel.

Dirt Racing Products microfibre towels

Coming from JConcepts are the Dirt Racing Products microfibre towels. A favourite pick of Brian “Dirt” Kinwald, JConcepts now offer a specific towel that features split microfibers, making it ideal for all sorts of cleaning purposes including tyre and wheel prepping prior to glueing. The Dirt towels enable the racer to pick up and hold more dust, dirt, and liquid than with traditional cotton, disposable cleaning towels, or even other lesser quality microfiber towels. They are re-useable, machine washable, they can provide many days of use and come as 2-piece set including a black and yellow one.

JConcepts Indoor National Series 2017 – Announcement

JConcepts have announced the 7th year of the Indoor National Series. With a host of sponsors, the INS7 series promises to be one of the best yet, including the consistency of solid locations of the past and a visit to one of the nation’s newest locations, Hobby Action R/C Raceway of Chandler, Arizona. With over 6,000 entries and counting, the JConcepts INS has become the race for racers to showcase their driving skills on a national and regional level while testing themselves against some of the industry’s best drivers. Known for its exciting mix of friendly, fun, world class racing atmosphere, the racing roots of the INS remain unchanged, but is devoted in making 2017 a breakout year in terms of series participation, factory drivers, representatives and professionalism. Making sure the INS gets the best in news media coverage, JConcepts has once again teamed up with Red RC for 2017 to make next year’s JConcepts Indoor National Series an unforgettable race experience.
