JConcepts RC10 Classic aluminium rear motor plate

The latest JConcepts option part of the Team Associated RC10 Classic is this aluminium rear motor plate. Resembling the original plate combined with modern day design cues such as the milled-out honeycomb sections the motor mount is light of weight but very rigid at the same time, making for a sturdy platform for brushed and brushless motors. The original “raised” heatsink shield is slightly modified for improved looks and to lower the weight while still being strong. The motor mounting slots are built in a radius to smoothly rotate the motor to the desired position while the silver chamfered edges give the hole part a “2013” apperance. The plate comes in blue and black colour and fitsthe RC10 Classic as well as all original RC10 and RC10T.

JConcepts RC10 Classic aluminium steering set

One of the best hop-ups that can be made to the RC10 is to update the steering bellcranks with a more durable design. JConcepts has evaluated the options and built an all aluminium design bringing the driving bell-crank into a 1-piece design eliminating the servo saver, increasing steering response and feel. The idler bellcrank sports a beefy and similar design giving the vehicle a symmetrical feel. The parts are available in blue or black and feature silver chamfered edged highlighting and laser-etched JC logo. The bellcranks are bearing supported with heavy-duty flanged bearings and include threaded aluminium steering posts for an ultra snug fit and finish. Hardware includes genuine Team Associated 8-32 x ½” aluminium flat head screws and custom aluminium post shims which locates on the bottom of the assembly. The steering kit fits all RC10 and RC10 classic buggies.

JConcepts Silencer Mugen MBX-7 Eco-1

New from JConcepts comes the silencer body shell for the Mugen MBX-7 Eco buggy. Designed for the use on high-speed tracks it features a narrowed, Finnisher stance cockpit that allows for smoother high-speed transition and increased flow in and out of the body for electrical air-flow. A deep recess behind the cab features dual channeling out the rear providing air escape along with rear-end stability. The side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling just in front of the rear tyres. The extended runner features on the rear-end of the body enhance the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration. The main pods are heavily chamfered with a more heat-shrink design over the speed control and motor areas. The end result has the body looking extremely low-profile with heavy JConcepts edginess and appeal and it is capped off with a cockpit “shark fin” for more high-speed tracking stability and increased roof stiffness.

JConcepts B4 carbon front shock tower

JConcepts has produced a carbon fibre front shock tower for the popular Team Associated B4 line of vehicles. The 4mm thick material is durable, lightweight and features the camber link position mounted in a horizontal position relative to the kick-plane. There are 3 inner positions and 3 outer positions for quick and steady adjustments and the tower features the JConcepts treatment of a milled surface creating the ribbing effect to increase durability where needed. Eliminating the outer shock position gives the vehicle a more nimble look in the front-end while still maintaining the 2 most popular positions.

JConcepts Silencer MBX7 Eco body – Teaser

JConcepts have a first teaser image of the forthcoming Silencer bodyshell for the Mugen MBX7 Eco available. Like the other Silencer design bodies the Mugen variant is especially made for high-speed tracks where straightline stability and airflow around the wing and the electronics is critical. JConcepts RC10 classic wheels & tyres

JConcepts introduce their new line of tyres and wheels for the Team Associated RC10 Classic buggy. First up is the Rips front tyre that is modelled after the kit tyres but offers more steering for an increased fun factor. The rounded edges of the Rips peak out and return to the base exposing the deep Ripped ribs which tile out as an evenly spaced 5-rib tire. The Rips fit a classic style 1.9″ sized wheel giving the buggy an era correct appearance in size and proportion and they are produced in JConcepts sticky green super soft compound and include And-1 open cell inserts for increased support.

JConcepts C4.2 rear suspension kit

Made for the Centro C4.2 converted Team Associated B4.2 buggies is this rear suspension kit from JConcepts. The set targets 3 key areas where the C4.2 could do with improvements. In stock trim the C4.2 includes a moulded rear bulkhead which is highly flexible and a target to damage in severe crashes. The JConcepts suspension kit includes an all CNC machined aluminium version which has been trimmed, narrowing the stance allowing more room for narrow rear pivot camber link adjustments. The bulkhead is available in blue or black colour and has silver chamfered edges around the border and inner cut-outs. The tucked design, trimmed shape and pocketing give the racer an extremely durable yet light-weight piece.

Ryan Maifield signs new long-term contract with JConcepts

Ryan Maifield, the current Dirt Nitro Challenge 1/8th buggy champion, ROAR National Champion, double Indoor National Series champion and 1/10th Off-road Worlds podium driver has signed a new contract with JConcepts. Since 2005, the speedy Arizona based driver and JConcepts have formed a dynamic duo in the world of radio control racing.
