LRP Vector X-12L SC 550 5.0T motor

Having announced their new 550 size X-12L motors last January, LRP have announced that the motor will now be available in 5.0T, joining the already available 5.5T and 4.5T versions. 4WD Short Course drivers can now take advantage of the World Championship-winning XTEC X-12 technology. With the all new Vector X-12L Short Course 550 motors, developed for 4WD Short Course racing, even more performance is available at your disposal.

New to the LRP clothing line is this royal blue coloured hooded sweater. LRP Vector K4 brushless motor

The LRP Vector K4 is great brushless motor for all R/C drivers, whether offroad or onroad, the K4 is suitable for nearly all applications. It is available in five different windings, from 6.5T to 17.5T, and is fully rebuildable. The K4 includes many features of the successful Vector X-12 Stock-Spec competition motor, including the sensor positioning, oversized ball bearings, and HDS technology. The rotor is equipped with a 5mm sized shaft, which makes the K4 motor extremely robust. For weight reduction, the front part of the two-piece housing is made of heat-dissipating metal in a gun-metal look, while the rear part consists of high-quality synthetic material. LRP’s K4 brushless motors come with pre-soldered silicone flex wires with gold coated connectors.

Toy Fair 2011 – Short Course round-up

Having covered the toy fair in depth for Red RC we decided to bring together all the short course related releases for an easy overview, beginning with Durango. On display at their German distributors stand, the Durango DESC410R was making its public debut. Having written in depth about the car here, its basically a longer and wider version of the successful DEX410, with the chassis is made from a sandwich of materials that creates a strong and very stiff backbone for the car, something that could not have been achieved with the aluminium side skirts used on the 1/10th buggy.

Toy Fair 2011 – LRP

LRP SX Rebel BX RTR buggy

Apart from their new Helicopter line, which you can see on our new sister site Heliplane, LRP have put their new RTR S8 Rebel BX in pride of place on their stand. This entry level RTR is a low cost 1/8th scale buggy that has been completely designed by LRP and features a low maintenance and efficient universal drive train with 3 oil filled spider differentials and hardened differential outdrives for durability. Fitted with a specially designed Big block LRP Z.25R Sport pullstart engine the steering is handled by a strong 9kg servo. The suspension geometry with big bore shocks has been taken over from the competition S8-BX buggy.
