Max Power 21 GT-RX Quadrifoglio 1:8 GT Engine

Italian onroad specialist engine tuner and reigning 1:8 Onroad World Champions Max Power debut its new 1:8 GT engine, the 21 GT-RX Quadrifoglio, at the IFMAR World Championships in Chile.  In the hands of Italian driver Franco Desiderio, the engine was put through its paces at the large high speed Club de Aeromodelos de Chile track, with Desiderio racing both the Semi Final and Main and running in P5 before a late crash dropped him to 7th.  The latest engine from Massimo Fantini, it is the first GT engine to use an aluminium cylinder hence the name “Quadrifoglio”.  With a DLC coated crankshaft and aluminium cylinder that are specific for GT, the both features new timing.   Another new feature is a specific carburetor with low sitting 7 millimetre aluminium Venturi.  The engine also fitted with extra power backplate.  Following the final Desiderio, who owns Florida based RC1 Racing, stripped his 21 GT-RX Quadrifoglio to give us an look at the engines new parts and features.

Max Power 2094 onroad pipe & manifolds

Max Power by Massimo Fantini have released their new 2094 onroad pipe and manifolds. Available in regular polished metal and what he is calling ‘total black’, they look great and claim to boost power output. Coming as a standalone pipe or in a pipe set, there are also four different manifolds available, standard, 90 short, 90 medium and 90 long.

Dario Balestri joins Max Power

Max Power have announced the addition of Italian frontrunner, Dario Balestri to their team. The multiple national and European champion recently joined the ever growing Infinity team and following several years with Capricorn and after using Max Power-built Tesla engines last year, he will now be running Max Power branded power plants in his 1/8th and 1/10th scale rides for 2017.

Max Power TQ-S 2017 2.1cc nitro engine

Max Power keep updating their nitro engine line with the latest addition being the TQ-S 2017 2.1cc 1/10th scale engine. Changes made compared to the previous power plant include a new back plate with flow cuts, an updated timing and the sleeve features extra cut-outs for improved mixture flow. The engine is rounded out by a new, silver anodised cooling head for maximised cooling efficiency.

Max Power XP3.9 World Edition .12 nitro engine

Coming from Max Power is the XP3.9 World Edition .12 nitro on-road engine. Built to the same specifications as used by the Max Power factory team at the recent IFMAR World Championships in Gubbio, the engine features a new crankcase with under head cut-outs to keeping compression more consistent, it comes with a new 3-port liner and CNC-machined piston for improved top speed and it utilises a dual tungsten-balanced and silicone-filled 11.9mm crankshaft. The specifications are rounded out by a US-made ceramic main bearing and a new 6-ribs silver-anodised cooling head.

Max Power RP3.5 TQ-S .12 nitro engine

Max Power have introduced their new RP3.5 TQ-S .12 nitro on-road engine. Used at this year’s EFRA 200mm Euros to take the TQ and the vice-championship the 3-channel engine offers an improved timing for fast acceleration and optimised speed and fuel consumption. Furthermore the TQ-S comes with a new CNC-machined piston, a silicone-filled and lightweight crankshaft as well as extra strong USA-made ceramic bearings.

Max Power RP9.S 3.5cc nitro on-road engine

Max Power have a new 3.5cc nitro on-road engine available in the form of the RP9.S. This latest version of the engine was used at the European Championships in Ettlingen and it features a 9-port design, new shaft timing and a newly designed back plate. Other parts included are an easy-to-tune carburettor as well as different venturi inserts to fine-tune power and fuel consumption.
