ORCA have introduced an aluminium screw set for the RT, RTS and Blitreme brushless motors that will improve the motor’s performance thanks to being non-magnetic. The set includes three long motor case and three short end cap screws and using the fasteners will increase the motor’s overall RPM while making for faster throttle response at the same time.

Available very soon from ORCA is their new Blitreme Pro brushless stock motor. Specially designed to achieve the highest possible power output for blinky stock racing classes, the motor is build using special processes and using hand-wound stators meaning only a limited amount of motors can be produced per week, making it a somewhat “limited edition” item. It is understood that the motor will become available in 13.5T, 17.5T, 21.5T and 25.5T specification and it will hit stores from end of November.

ORCA have introduced their new 6300mAh LCG HV Gen 3 high-voltage LiPo battery pack. Offering a nominal voltage of 7.6V the 2S pack is of low centre of gravity specifications and only 22.5mm tall compared to the standard 25.1mm which can lead to high corner speeds. The pack weighs in at 272g and it can be safely charged up to 8.7V but it will also show exceptional performance when filled to the currently race-legal 8.4V.

ORCA have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming R32 competition brushless speed controller. Follow-up model of the VX3, the speedo will feature new hardware in the form of a high-speed 32-bit processor, lower resistance MOSFETs and a redesigned circuit board for overall higher performance. In addition the controller, that is set for a release early this year, will come with a new firmware that offers a more user-friendly design, the ESC will have stronger brakes and will allow for simple firmware updates using a MircoSD card. Coming soon from Orca is a 300W LiHV-compatible touch screen charger. The device will sport a dedicated charge program for the growing range of high-voltage Lithium batteries, it offers up top 25A charge current and features a sturdy aluminium case. ORCA Portugal have announced the signing of former European Champion and multi-time Portuguese National Champion Miguel Matias to their team. The Xray factory driver will use ORCA electronics in his electric rides from now on.

Orca have announced the signing of 2013 1/10th 4WD Electric Off-Road European Champion Martin Bayer to their off-road team. Martin will race both 1/8th and 1/10th classes using Orca electronics and he had the following to say:
I spend a lot of time to test speed controls, motors and batteries. I try also Orca and I was very happy with all products speed control, motor and batteries. Everything fit to me very quickly and I was very confident. I am very happy to join Team Orca and I will help them to develop off-road product for futures.

First images and information on ORCA’s latest VX3 brushless speed controller have appeared on the internet recently. The follow-up model of the successful VXX will feature an all-aluminium case for improved heat dissipation while the latest in FET technology will make for reduced internal resistance and cooler running temperatures. The receiver wire is of a replaceable design which indicates that several length wires will become available to create clean wiring jobs on touring cars and off-road buggies alike. With the VX3 comes an optimised firmware to get the best out of the speedo. More information will become available soon.
