Hudy Short 5.5mm Socket Wrench

New from Slovakian tool manufacturer Hudy comes this Short 5.5mm Socket Wrench.  The lightweight, short and compact duralumin socket is versatile and ideal for hard-to-reach locations such as shock tower mount nuts.  The socket wrench is for M3 nuts, such nuts that secure offroad shocks to shock towers, nuts that connect camber linkages with C-hubs and uprights, rear arm with upright, and steering linkages with Ackermann plate.  It is also ideal for mounting a touring car body shell rear wing.

Xray X4 CFF Front/Rear Lower Arms

Xray has released new CFF (Carbon Fibre Fusion) lower arms for its X4 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  The lower suspension arms feature optimised flexing under dampening and with the shock being mounted in the middle of the arm, the load is evenly distributed onto the suspension arm, which increases the mechanical traction, and response of the car.  Graphite hardness of the lower suspension arms is recommended for carpet tracks and even for some high traction asphalt conditions.  These will provide the most consistent handling and will make the car more free in corners compared to when H or M arms are used.

Nosram batteries for Baruffolo

Nosram has announced that top International 1:8 Offroad racer Marco Baruffolo is to use their batteries to power to eBuggies in 2025.   The seven time Italian Champion, Silver State winner and IFMAR World Championship Finalist, will use the German brands batteries as part of his campaign with Kyosho, whom he joined at the end of the 2024 season.  With IFMAR hosting the first ever 1:8 Electric Buggy World Championship this season, 2025 is a big year for eBuggy and on his new partnership Baruffolo said, ‘I’m really excited to join the Nosram team!  This will give me a great boost during my season, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with Jürgen and his team.  Thank you Nosram for this opportunity!’

RUDDOG Racing expands LiHV battery range

RUDDOG Racing has expanded its high-performance LiHV battery line with the launch of two new competition-grade models, the 7700mAh 150C/75C 7.6V LCG Stick Pack LiPo-HV Battery (RP-0798) and the 7000mAh 150C/75C 7.6V 113mm Mid Short Stick Pack LiPo-HV Battery (RP-0799).  Both batteries are designed to meet the highest demands of competitive racing, offering cutting-edge cell technology, high capacity, and consistent power delivery.  The RP-0798 features a low-profile LCG stick pack design with a 22.5 mm height and 7700mAh capacity – perfect for applications where a lower centre of gravity is key to performance.  The RP-0799, on the other hand, was specifically developed for 1/8-scale electric buggies such as the Team Associated RC8B4 and the Xray XB8E 2025.  With its 113 mm length and 25 mm height, it fits perfectly into the dedicated battery tray of these platforms and offers significantly more runtime than standard shorty packs.  Both batteries utilize the latest spec silicon graphene lithium-polymer cells with a continuous discharge rate of 75C and peak rate of 150C.  The improved internal resistance ensures consistent, powerful performance on the track and both batteries are EFRA and BRCA homologated, making them fully legal for national and international competitions.

Xray XB4 Lightweight Steering Block & 7° C-hub Set

Xray has released a new lightweight complete set of aluminium steering blocks and with 7° caster C-hubs for their XB4 1:10 4WD Buggy.  30% lighter than previous version, their ultra-strong construction provides very long life and durability in even the most extreme racing conditions.  CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and black coated, using the steering blocks in an aluminium material reduces flex, and improves consistency, and will free up the buggy.  The set includes all 3 different graphite steering extensions – 1 dot, 2 dots, 3 dots.

Axon confirms Ishioka for eSIC 2025

Japanese touring car manufacturer Axon has confirmed 2025 TITC Finalist Hayato Ishioka will represent them when they make their team debut at the 3rd edition of the Electric Singapore International Challenge (eSIC) on July 12-13.  Axon become the latest manufacturer to support the race which is the brainchild of top Singapore touring car racer Nicholas Lee and Chhua Jookiah.  Aiming to bring top level international competition to the Asian island country, the previous two editions of the race has attracted official team entries from Mugen Seiki, Awesomatix, Yokomo, ARC and Xpress and in addition to Axon that list in 2025 will grow to also include Xray who confirmation that Germany’s Jan Ratheisky with travel to the RCMC Marine Parade race track hosted event.

Awesomatix A800FXR Frontie Option Parts

Following the release of its all new A800FXR FWD electric touring car, Awesomatix has released a number of new option parts for its latest kit.   The new parts offering includes a 20gram Bumper Weight FX 20g with space for up to six optional 10-gram round weights (not included).   A new Carbon Front Lower Deck becomes the softest option below the kit Alloy and C01FXR-CH Hard Carbon versions.  Suitable for A800FX / A800FX Evo as well as the A800FXR, is a new Carbon Front Top Deck which can be installed with ST019 screws for the best performance (not included).  A800FXR owners can also avail of a new Alloy Rear Lower Deck made from 2.0mm 7075 T6 Alloy which can take up to three 5 gram Tungsten weights (not included) can be placed in the chassis using super thin double sided tape.
