Venom 1S 5000mAh & 2S 250Mah LiPo packs

Two new LiPo packs from Venom, the first is this 1S 5000mAh 3.7v durable hard case pack which is ideally suited for use in 1/12th scale cars. Continuously rated for 50C, this pack delivers the performance you need and its heavy-duty 12AWG wire leads come equipped with Venom’s own Universal Plug System for simple plug-and-play operation. Also new is the Venom 15C 2S 250mah 7.4v LiPo pack which was designed for use in the Losi Micro 1/24th Scale Rally Cars and 4wd Short Course Trucks. Pre-wired with a Molex 51005 connector, plus XH style balance connector.

Josh Wheeler signs for VP-Pro USA

VP-Pro USA have added top factory driver Josh Wheeler to their team. Wheeler is a former IFMAR Worlds A-main Finalist and consistent A-main contender at every major race in the USA. He will be using VP-Pro Flexx Compound Tires & Wheels on his Xray 808 buggy and truggy for 2011-2012 and his first race for VP-Pro Racing will be the Silverstate Nitro Challenge in Las Vegas next month.

Chris Doughty gets some Ammo for 2011

RC Disco are thrilled to announce that former European electric offroad Champion Chris Doughty has signed to run Ammo Fuel in 2011. Chris will be using the Ammo 30% Nitro Race Fuel throughout the 2011 race season in his Durango DNX408 buggy and joins a growing list of drivers in the UK using this fuel including Simon Willets and Kevin Brunsden. We also hear that Ammo is expanding out of the UK and that we can expect some European signings in the next few weeks.

RPM SC8 front & rear A-arms

RPM front and rear A-arms for the Associated SC8 & RC8B are tough as nails and designed to take some serious punishment. Every aspect of the design on these arms is there to either improve strength or durability. Additionally, they’ve cleared the A-arms in areas known to rub on the stock A-arms, allowing extra droop for more suspension travel over rough terrain or big jumps. Both sets of arms feature molded-in shock mounts which means no more lost screws or extra weight from those screws on the arms. To help reduce slop in the suspension, they discarded the stock shock mount pin and setscrew in favor of a new 5-40 screw, which eliminates .004” of slop in the pivot and improves suspension accuracy. Leading and trailing 30-degree edges on the a-arms help the vehicle transition up and over objects too tall for the suspension to clear and, as a side benefit, those angles improve suspension aerodynamics.

Xray XB808 adjustable rear hub carrier

Xray have released this aluminum XB808 adjustable rear hub carrier. CNC-machined from premium lightweight Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, hardcoated for extra durability and long life, it offers new and unique possibility to adjust the roll-center in 1:8 off road cars. The upright has 3 holes where the upper linkage can be mounted by aluminum ball with thread, while aluminium shims can be used for increasing or decreasing angle of roll center. Smart Xray engineering includes the use of composite bushings to secure ball-bearings in both sides of the hub carrier, allowing perfect fitment and smooth operation to ultimately impart much higher lifespan compared to bearings installed directly into aluminium hub carriers. Additional roll center adjustments are possible through the use of composite roll center bushings which can be inserted in two different orientation positions for the pivot pin. Holes in the upper position give +2mm upper roll center, while holes in the lower position are equal to the standard composite roll center position.

Xray T3 upper bulkhead clamps

For use on the Xray T3, these ultra-light, ultra-strong upper bulkhead clamps have been CNC-machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and anodised orange. Roll-center positions provide a great range of adjustments for both front and rear suspension roll centers and bulkhead cavities permit 3 different mounting roll-center positions as well as roll-center height by adding/removing shims under the ball joint. Must be used with #302653 ball joints.

WRC Racing F-One 1/10th scale chassis

Italian company WRC Racing have introduced their all new F-One 1/10th scale electric chassis. Made from high quality carbon fibre and 7075 aluminium, its your standard configuration for the class, which is largely dictated by the shape of the body shell. The car features a rear ball differential, while up front you can adjust the camber, caster, toe and ride height. A great looking body shell, front & rear wings, rear diffuser and racing wheels complete the look.
