Racing Experience have announced the signing of former European 1/10th 200mm ‘B’ Championship finalist Thomas Eytard. The former RB driver has moved to use Novarossi power and Kronos tyres for the new French season. Racing Experience successfully introduced their Kronos brand tyres during the French Nationals in 2009 and their success in the first year has seen them as a popular choice for 2010.

Serpent have announced that ace driver Paul Ciccarello will race the 966 in 1/8 scale from 2010 onwards. The cooperation between the pairing for the 1/12 S120 and future 1/10 scale pan-class has been working out really well, so its really good for them to be able to coop in 1/8 scale as well. Paul has shown in 2009 with his 3rd place at the well attended ROAR Nats, that he is a force to be reckoned with and the coop with Scott Kimbrow, Paolo Morganti, DJ and Jackson will most certainly help to achieve even better results by working together closely. Paul has also joined Serpent America’s sales team for all the product lines of Serpent America including Serpent, Novarossi, Xceed, Matrix and Blitz-Titan. With his long time experience, racing and working at Parma for many years, he is very likely to offer great suppport to all Serpent customers.

Team C Racing have released their conversion kit for the Xray NT1, to turn it into a 220mm chassis. Supplied with all the parts needed, it features a GTP style front bumper, aluminium mounts and carbon fibre body mount as well as a rear floating body mount and suitable rear carbon fibre shock tower. Brown Engineering have introduced their latest creation, the SH Version 2. Based on the Robitronic Scalpel, this is their new link car which features flex plate technology, which controls the side to side movement. The tension of this movement can be changed through different flex plates, which are different thicknesses and so control the roll. The car still uses their custom damper tubes and micro shock and will also come with angles servo mounts and three sets of flex plates. You can still use 4 or 6 cell and it also has slots for saddle pack or single LiPo pack. Finally, the car comes with a BMI pivot and wide enough rear pod to fit most motors.

New for 2010 from Savox come two new releases predominately aimed at the nitro car racer who is racing over a prolonged duration. The demands put on throttle and steering servos when mounted in nitro vehicles, can create motor heat build up when used over a prolonged period. This heat build up can on occasions cause servo problems. With these applications in mind, Savox have reduced the motor RPM a little and improved torque within their new SC1267 and SC1268 servos to make them more suitable to longer sustained usage.
