Mugen MBX8R aluminium clutch shoes

Mugen has released two new aluminium clutch shoe options for its MBX8R 1:8 Buggy’s standard 4 shoe-clutch.  The ‘Dot 1’ option engages the clutch a little faster than the kit standard E2718, but clutch slippage at high revs and high loads is reduced. With the ‘Dot 2’ version the point where the clutch connects is the same as the kit standard E2718, but the connection is a little slippery from the bottom to the top. By combining 3 types of aluminium clutch shoes, it becomes possible to respond to various track conditions and layouts.

Rêve D 8mm offset spec DPS & UL12 wheels

Following customer requests, RC drift brand Rêve D has released an 8mm offset version of their competition DP5 & UL12 wheels.  Popular for its light weight and high traction characteristics, it is available in two colours, standard white and black. While maintaining the highest performance of lightweight (about 11g each) and high traction realised by optimising the material, design, and dimensions of each part, the offset is now 8mm. The adoption of a large inner diameter & thin rim avoids interference with the suspension just like the current DP5 & UL12 offering.

PR Racing S1 V4R FM

PR Racing has released the latest model in their 1:10 2WD Buggy line-up, the V4R FM. Retaining the main elements of the previous V3R, the V4R has more chassis flex options and quick adjustment design concepts. In terms of chassis design the 3mm thick chassis has more CNC machining done to create a lighter part along with moving the the car’s centre of gravity to a more optimised position. In the battery mounting, a change has been made to the mounting arm system, which increase chassis flex and also keeps the battery retainment method of the V3R.  By using the V3R battery retainer plates, chassis flex can be decreased if needed.  The front to rear weight can be quickly changed by moving the battery pack forward or back with ease.  A new quick access gearbox allows for faster adjustments of gear diff and easy maintenance of ball diffs. The PR V4R FM inherits the stability of the previous generation and builds on it. For owners with a spare parts bank already, they will be happy to know that instead of a completely new model, PR Racing have only redesigned the parts that needed to be. This makes it very easy to upgrade your previous model with the latest parts.
