PR Racing has released the latest model in their 1:10 2WD Buggy line-up, the V4R FM. Retaining the main elements of the previous V3R, the V4R has more chassis flex options and quick adjustment design concepts. In terms of chassis design the 3mm thick chassis has more CNC machining done to create a lighter part along with moving the the car’s centre of gravity to a more optimised position. In the battery mounting, a change has been made to the mounting arm system, which increase chassis flex and also keeps the battery retainment method of the V3R. By using the V3R battery retainer plates, chassis flex can be decreased if needed. The front to rear weight can be quickly changed by moving the battery pack forward or back with ease. A new quick access gearbox allows for faster adjustments of gear diff and easy maintenance of ball diffs. The PR V4R FM inherits the stability of the previous generation and builds on it. For owners with a spare parts bank already, they will be happy to know that instead of a completely new model, PR Racing have only redesigned the parts that needed to be. This makes it very easy to upgrade your previous model with the latest parts.
PR Racing have produced these new optional front and rear shock shafts for the PR SB401R-T truck. Longer by 2mm compared to the standard versions, they are recommended for tracks with big jumps. The package includes two shock shafts, two shock piston washers and two lock nuts.
Coming from PR Racing and made for the SB401R series of 4WD vehicles are new aluminium steering knuckles and matching carbon fibre Ackermann plates. The steering knuckles are machined from high-quality aluminium and they sport a black anodised surface for protection and machined silver edge details for looks. The hubs will greatly improve overall stability and precision with the carbon fibre Ackermann arms allowing for precise steering Ackermann geometry adjustment and thus better control over the steering characteristics of the car.
Coming from PR Racing and made for the SB401R buggy is an aluminium CVD input shaft coupler. The part is machined from high-quality aluminium, it comes hard anodised to ensure low wear and weighs in at only 1.5g. Using the alloy coupler instead of the standard steel part will reduce rotational masses of the centre drivetrain for quicker spool-up and acceleration.
Coming from PR Racing and made for the SB401R 4WD buggy are new -2mm FF and FR suspension blocks. Offering a -2mm track width setting the blocks will increase front end grip, making them ideal especially for tighter, more technical medium to high grip tracks. The suspension hangers are machined from high-quality aluminium and they come black anodised for surface protection and with laser-engraved markings for easy identification.
PR Racing have introduced their new carbon fibre narrow RR suspension mount spacers for the use with the S1V3 Evo and TR kits. Available as separate sets for the top and bottom of the suspension hanger, the parts, according to PR Racing, allow to raise or lower the RR suspension mount in order to allow for increased weight transfer when running on lower traction surfaces. The spacers are machined from high-quality carbon fibre and each set contains two spacers.
New from PR Racing and coming for the 401R and 401RT vehicles is a 2.5mm thick aluminium main chassis plate. Machined from high-quality material and offering a thickness of 2.5mm the chassis makes for reduced torsional flex which comes in handy in specific track conditions. In addition the main plate is more durable when running on abrasive surfaces, prolonging the part’s life.
Coming from PR Racing are their new brass hex wheel adapters. Fitting all of the company’s 1/10th scale buggies the wheel hexes are machined from high-quality brass material and they are available with 4.2mm offset, weighing in at 2.9g and also as 5.2mm offset variant, weighing in at 3.8g. Using the heavy hexes will improve the vehicle’s stability over rougher parts of the track, making for a more planted ride.
