PR Racing S1 V3 FM & Type R 2018 buggy kits

PR Racing have introduced the 2018 kits of their S1 V3 FM 2WD mid motor off-road buggies. Available as standard and further upgraded Type-R variant, the latter includes all new shock absorbers, towers, carbon chassis and a whole range of optional parts previously only available separately. The new lower shock geometry and new sleek body produce a much more stable car on high grip which changes direction quicker, and rotates through the corner smoother and at higher speed. The 2018 edition cars both include the universal type chassis which means it is easy to swap between the 3 gear laydown and the stand-up gearbox. The Type R utilises a 2.5mm carbon fibre version of the chassis which offers reduced weight and more reactive handling characteristics, while the Standard 2018 FM continues to use the alloy version.

PR Racing PRS1V3 low-profile body shell

PR Racing have introduced a new low-profile body shell for the PRS1V3 2WD buggy. With its special design the body is about 35 percent lower than the standard lid, which lowers the overall centre of gravity for improved rotation on high-speed tracks while also scrubbing weight thanks to the lightweight polycarbonate material used. With its optimised airflow the body also increases overall stability and it is a direct fit on the S1V3 FM kit.

PR Racing SB401 rear aluminium uprights

Coming from PR Racing and made for the SB401 1/10th 4WD buggy are new vertical ballstud aluminium rear uprights. The parts offer a greatly revised geometry over the standard composite hubs with an additional camber link mounting position that uses a longer camber link for a less twitchy car and smoother rotation trough the corner. Also new is an additional – higher – hinge pin location that provides increased rear traction and better bump handling. The parts weigh in at 16g a pair which is only 1g heavier than the standard composite uprights.
