Protoform Cyclone 10.0 oval body

Protoform is introducing another aerodynamic option for Dirt Oval Late Model racing, the Cyclone 10.0. Measuring 10″ wide, the body is a full half an inch wider than its predecessor, making it a good fit for rubber tyre and loose dirt track racing. It can also be an option for Nitro Late Models and 4WD classes as well. The Cyclone 10.0 incorporates all the latest aerodynamic tricks from the full-scale racers, made to fit all popular dirt oval late model chassis. From the offset front fenders and skewed rear ¼ panels to the rooftop vortex generators, the Cyclone is built for speed, downforce and side bite. The Cyclone 10.0 is fully approved by the DirtOval.com National Rulebook and comes with a pre-cut and pre-drilled spoiler kit complete with end plates and hardware. It’s produced in genuine .030″ lexan and also includes a detailed decal sheet, window masks, and paint-then-peel overspray film.

Protoform Mazda 6GX spotted

During last week’s IIC race in Las Vegas Protoform showed the follow-up model of the iconic Mazdaspeed6 body shell, the Mazda6 GX. It is understood that the body is designed to meet with the Global Body Spec rules, and it sports a “coupe-ish” roof line, a pronounced headlight/grille section, strengthening recessions behind the front fenders and around the door sections as well as a flat trunk section for improved airflow towards the rear wing. The new body is set to hit the stores in November.

Protoform G6-T oval race body

Protoform G6-T oval race body

This season saw the Cup Series introduce their highly-anticipated new generation of body styles. With increased brand identity, a stylish new look and ultra-competitive racing, interest in the Cup series is once again on the up-swing with fans, manufacturers and media. It’s only natural that Protoform would bring this exciting look to 1:10 scale oval racing. The all-new Protoform G6-T race body reflects all the details of the real racers while adapting it for the ultra-high downforce demands of today’s carpet oval race cars. The G6-T features ample wedge built right into the body, but can also be adjusted with different trimming angles for stock classes. Trimming slightly under the trim line also makes the body ideal for cap tire racing. The G6-T is produced with the best in quality .030 polycarbonate. It’s equipped with spoiler mounting hardware, protective film, window masks and a decal sheet and will also fit most popular 200mm sedan chassis.

Protoform 1971 Pontiac Firebird VTA body

Protoform 1971 Pontiac Firebird VTA body

Protoform introduce the 1971 Pontiac Firebird VTA body shell. The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was one of the signature cars of the former full-scale series, and now Protoform has captured its trademark look in the release of the ’71 model for the VTA 1/10th scale racing class. From its aggressive front beak, to the duck tail-style rear spoiler, to the mother of all macho items – the shaker hood scoop – no detail was overlooked. The front nose cone is moulded separately, and when mounted with the 2mm screws and/or liquid adhesive, it becomes an integral part of the body. Because this area of a race body is the most prone to racing wear and tear, a second nose is included. The body comes clear, including nose mounting hardware and a large decal sheet and it fits virtually every 200mm touring car chassis and as well as 190mm cars equipped with off-set wheels.
