Protoform Gen3-D body shell

Protoform Gen3-D body shell

The Gen3-D is Protoform’s latest offering for the RC oval racer and enthusiast. The NASCAR Nationwide Series has developed a car that is totally unique, with the nose and grill area reflecting more detail and brand identity than in previous years. The Protoform Gen 3-D even shares the “kicked-up” rear quarter panels seen on the 1:1 racers, increasing downforce without the penalty of an oversized spoiler. It also features an add-on blade spoiler and a double step splitter/spoiler on the front valance. The left side still features a bumped out area for added battery clearance and left side weight bias and the rear window/trunk rail has been enlarged just like the 1:1 racer. The “Gen3-D” is produced with the best in quality .030 polycarbonate. It’s equipped with spoiler mounting hardware, protective film, window masks and a decal sheet. This body will also fit most popular 200mm sedan chassis.

Protoform TR-12 1/12th scale body

Protoform TR-12 1/12th scale body

Following their sneak peek last week, Protoform have introduced their all new TR-12 1/12th scale body. Input from their team of drivers was used to improve the shape, while taking styling cues from a highly-successful factory-works hybrid LMP that made its debut at the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans, then went on to win 3 WEC series races. The TR-12 includes a large center ‘dorsal fin’ to improve high-speed stability for those ultra-fast modified cars. Unique spill-plate profiles and side air channels give the body an unmistakable look on the track while adding functionality. It fits all EFRA/IFMAR, BRCA, ROAR and JMRCA body rule requirements, and includes headlamp decals as per ROAR rules. The TR-12 is produced using LW .020” lexan with protective film and includes window masks and decal sheet.

Protoform PFR18 1/8th scale body

2011 was a great year for Protoform in the 1/8th IC Nitro On-Road class. Now only did 8 A-Main finalists at the IFMAR WORLDS in Homestead Florida chose the P909 body, but the other 2 A-Main drivers chose the Protoform R15, which ran the quickest lap times of the entire event. In the end, Robert Pietsch brought home the very deserving win and trophy. They decided to incorporate what they felt were the best characteristics of these two world class bodies to create the Protoform PFR18. Loosely modeled after the car that conquered the 24HR of LeMans, this body style has a few tricks of it’s own as well. There are a couple more molded in body stiffening contours to make the body more consistent and the body conforms to the 2012 ERFA/IFMAR body rules in every way. Available in 3 thicknesses, .040 Lexan (regular weight), .030 Lexan (light weight) and .025 Lexan (lightest weight) “Pro-Lite” for the expert racers. This body has a protective outer film, body side-stiffeners (w/hardware) and comes with a large Protoform decal.
