RC Maker A800FX Tweak Stick

RC Maker have announced the release of their new Tweak Stick tool for the use with the Awesomatix A800FX front-wheel drive touring car. Featuring a full carbon fibre construction, it is lightweight and disassembles for easy transportation. The tweak stick aids to pin the car down onto a flat surface with a single hand, whilst tightening the top deck screws with your other hand. Due to Awesomatix’s unique design not having shock towers, the tweak stick utilises extension plates which exert even pressure onto the bulkheads left and right, front and rear. The design locates the extensions onto the bulkhead using locating lugs, which makes it quick, easy and accurate to use. Thick O-rings simply locate the extensions in place, which can be adjusted in distance to your desire. Using the tweak stick doesn’t require removal of anything, as it clears all parts of the car and all spur gear sizes.

RC Maker low-profile front body stabiliser

Coming from RC Maker is their innovative new shock tower attachment that increases the body’s downforce transfer to the car, whilst also preventing bodyshell flex and roll, causing scrubbing in the wheel arches. With modern body shells being low and thin, the downforce generated by the bodyshell isn’t effectively transferred to the car due to the flex of the body, especially in the front-mid section. The front body stabiliser transfers the downforce directly into the top of the front shocks, increasing the car’s steering in corners, and stability on the straights. As well as this, they prevent the body rolling onto the outside tyre in cornering, effectively preventing wheel arch rubbing as the front body stabiliser helps prevent the bodyshell rolling during cornering, by supporting it widely over the wheel arches. The stabilisers are adjustable in height, and can be further adjusted by adding foam on top of the platform. They fit all modern low profile shock touring cars such as the Xray T4’20, Yokomo BD10, Infinity IF14-2, ARC R12, Schumacher Mi7 and more, and are an optimised fit for the latest bodies from Xtreme, ZooRacing, Bittydesign and Protoform.

RC Maker A800MMX brass & carbon AFEP

Coming from RC Maker and made for the Awesomatix A800MMX touring car are two adjustable floating electronics plate sets. They were designed to placing the weight down low, in the best position, whilst having absolutely no impact on the flex of the car. With both brass and carbon options, as well as an even heavier brass plate option, drivers have all the tuning options they could ever want to achieve the desired balance. The AFEP system can also be shimmed out from the motor-mount to further increase the tuning adjustability. The standard brass set will weigh in at 23g with the optional 25g plate making it 35g in total. As for the carbon fibre variant, it will weigh in at 12g. Both also allow the easy removal of the electronics plate from the car for maintenance and cleaning purposes.

RC Maker introduce new T4’20 GeoCarbon optionals

RC Maker have introduced new GeoCarbon series option parts for the Xray T4’20 mid motor touring car. First up is the GeoCarbon steering brace that connects the top of the two posts of the steering to prevent excessive horizontal flex and bending under regular cornering force. Constructed from 1mm carbon with recessed areas, it is quite flexible to minimally alter longitudinal flex down the chassis. The result provides increased post rigidity with less force placed on the chassis holes and posts, as well as more consistent steering with marginally reduced front flex to increase steering response. These work with both aluminium and plastic steering bellcranks, and are also sized to cover the blue shields on the steering bellcrank bearings to keep things stealth.

RC Maker Awesomatix damper O-ring tool V2

RC Maker have introduced the latest evolution of their popular damper O-ring tool for the Awesomatix range of cars. With the positioning of the P63 piston inside the damper vane being critical to the smoothness and longevity of the damper, the designers decided to make the process a whole lot easier. The V2 tool features the helpful O-ring seating and oil removing features of before, but now with an extra stick that inserts into the centre of the damper and when pressed down together with the main O-ring, seats the P63 in the optimal position whilst seating the O-ring. When using the tool, simply push the O-ring down and the excess oil will bleed out around the two contact patches of the tool on the O-ring, keep rotating the tool around to seat the O-ring all the way around its perimeter. No back and forward O-ring, then P63 positioning, no paper clips or drawing on wrenches. Simply push down and seat the O-ring, and at the same time the piston position will automatically be set once the O-ring is seated flat. Then spin the tool to remove excess oil from both on top of the O-ring, and inside the centre damper cavity above the P63 Piston. As a final step the main bearing is inserted and the damper ready to go. The damper O-ring tool V2 will work with both normal damper caps, and ADC.
