RSD TC7.2 aluminium flex chassis

Reflex Racing have introduced the new RSD hard-anodised aluminium flex chassis for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car. The chassis was developed to be used in conditions of high grip asphalt, hHot weather and low to medium bite carpet. The shape and design of the cut outs on the chassis allow it to flex considerably more than Team Associated’s alloy chassis along the centre and bulkheads and the hard anodising prevent the chassis from bending too easily. When used with the RSD Spec top deck the TC7.2 will flex even further than with the stock unit and make this chassis a viable alternative to carbon on asphalt under almost all conditions. The main plate is made in the USA from premium Thyssenkrupp alloys and locally anodised.

Reflex Racing roll out new TC7.2 optionals

Coming from Reflex Racing are several new optionals for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car. First up is the bumper brace kit that includes a hard, wide front bumper. The set protect the car from hard boards and collisions. Wider and thicker than the standard bumper, the bumper can save the chassis in the event of a hard crash as especially when running indoors, the car’s front suspension is far more protected than with the stock parts.

Reflex Racing introduce new TC7.2 optionals

Reflex Racing have introduced new optional parts for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car. First up is the RSD bumper brace and bumper brace stop. It helps protect the carbon fibre from de-laminating and aluminium chassis from bending in frontal collisions. The set works with the stock AE foam bumper and it is a direct fit.

Reflex Racing TC7.1 carbon fibre top decks

Coming from Reflex Racing and made for the Team Associated TC7.1 touring car are three new top decks. First up is the vertical top deck kit that was designed to make the TC7.1 take advantage of the adjustment characteristic of a vertical frame top deck. Vertical top decks provide better forward bite due to the increased fore and aft rigidity of the chassis. They also provide for a platform where flex adjustment can be isolated at different points of the chassis through using stiffening posts which allows for a more adaptable flex characteristic based on the track conditions. The vertical top deck setup will excel in outdoor tracks with long sweeping corners and also indoors when used in high bite conditions. Additionally, when used with Reflex Racing’s pitch control system, it allows for fully symmetrical flex characteristic on the car.

RSD TC7.1 3-D-printed suspension mount inserts & spool

Reflex Racing have introduced two new 3-D-printed RSD option parts for the Team Associated TC7.1 touring car. First up is a suspension pill insert set meant to be used without pivot balls for reduced slop. The pills also incorporate a #4 position that allows to narrow or widen the car further. This is super valuable when using low amounts of inboard toe with ARS type rear ends to have a broader range of adjustment.

RSD BD8 Battery Hold Down System

Reflex Racing have introduced the tape-less RSD battery hold down system for the Yokomo BD8 touring car. The set includes machined carbon fibre battery locators, battery hold downs as well as mounting hardware to equip Yokomo’s latest tourer with a tape-eliminating battery mount. The result are faster and more convenient pit stops while also eliminating any chassis tweak issues associated with using tape to mount the LiPo battery pack.

Reflex Racing RSD TC7.1 PCS carbon fibre chassis kit

Reflex Racing’s recently introduced PCS system for the Team Associated TC7.1 is now also available as a combo kit including a suitable carbon fibre chassis. Included, besides the Pitch Control System, is a 2.1mm quasi isotropic carbon fibre chassis that was designed to work with the RSD Pitch Control System. It includes two additional motor mount holes to secure the motor mount in different ways and adjust the flex characteristic of the car in the rear end. It also utilises two countersink holes in order to mount the Yokomo BD8 active rear steering rods to the chassis which is a popular modification by TC7.1 drivers these days. Included in the kit are the chassis, alloy motor and servo mount, carbon fibre servo mounting plate, RSD 2.0mm or 1.5mm top deck, battery stock screws and mounting hardware. Besides the full kit the chassis is also available separately.

Reflex Racing RSD TC7.1 pitch control system

Reflex Racing have introduced the pitch control system for the Team Associated TC7.1 touring car. It is designed to increase fore and aft chassis rigidity while maintaining the same side to side flex on the chassis by tying the steering servo mount with the motor mount via a centre tie rod. The result is more forward bite and a more precise handling. Both the motor and servo mount are cut from black anodised 7075-T6 aluminium and they sport silver edge details for looks with the motor mount utilising a lowered layshaft position by 1.5mm in order to lower the gyroscopic forces of the spur gear and layshaft for quicker direction changes. The servo mount has a third screw on the carbon fibre upper plate for better securing and precision of the servo mounting and integrated screw holes in the motor and servo mounts allow the use of screws for centre battery stops. Additional lower motor mount securing screw positions make for more flex tuning options when used with the forthcoming optional RSD chassis and an increased motor adjustment range allows the use with smaller pinion and Spur combinations.
