Rêve D dual rate drift car springs

Coming from Rêve D are their new dual rate springs for low grip surfaces such as P tiles and painted concrete. By using a newly developed winding method the each spring offers a somewhat progressive performance, improving traction and car control in low grip track conditions. By flipping the spring over the suspension characteristics can be fine-tuned even further. The colour-coded springs are available separately in soft, medium and hard specification and they also come as complete set including a reusable box.

Rêve D YD-2 HG front suspension conversion

Coming from Rêve D and made for Yokomo’s YD-2 RWD drift car is the HG front suspension conversion kit. Designed for all cars using a sliding steering rack, the upper arm conversion kit features ball-raced aluminium upper arms, cantilever-type upper arm pins for quick and easy roll centre changes, as well as an updated front shock tower made of lightweight yet extremely rigid dry carbon fibre material. The whole construction is of a very low weight, shifting the weight bias towards the rear for improved traction and optimised balance. The set includes the ball-raced upper arms, an aluminium upper arm mount, dry carbon front shock tower, highly rigid suspension pins as well as mounting hardware.

Rêve D X2 V Compact AC 2-port charger

Coming soon from Rêve D is their new X2 V Compact 2-port multi-chemistry charger. The AC charger features 50W of charge power per channel, enough for up to 5A of charge current, it is of a pit-space-friendly tower design, it sports a blue back-lit display and integrated balancers for secure and convenient charging of Lithium batteries. The compact device is the product of Rêve D’s collaboration with Hitec Multiplex Japan and will hit stores soon.

Rêve D dry carbon drift car front bumper

Coming soon from Rêve D is their new dry carbon front bumper for drift car kits such as the Yokomo YD-2 and others. Machined from high-quality and very rigid automotive-grade dry carbon the front bumper is of a lightweight design, improving car rotation due to the reduced weight of the front end, while offering a sturdy base for the front bumper foam and body posts allowing to use the whole assembly without an additional upper bumper brace. Included in the set comes a reversible 2-sided aluminium bumper mount that features a Rêve D logo on one side and a machined structure on the other, allowing to adapt the look to your liking. The bumper will hit stores by the end of April and it will fit the Yokomo YD-2 and all chassis with similar front chassis outlines.

Rêve D SPM titanium spur gear screw

Rêve D have introduced their new titanium spur gear screw as part of the SPM Super Precision Machine cut series. Offering high precision and a low weight the shouldered fastener allows for accurate spur gear mounting, less gear wobble and thus a more efficient drivetrain. The screw is usable for many drift and touring cars as well as off-road kits with slipper eliminator direct spur gear hubs and comes in sets of four and it will hit stores in mid-April.

Rêve D aluminium spring retainers

Coming soon from Rêve D are three new UP series aluminium spring retainers for RWD drift cars chassis. Available as 0mm, +2mm and +4mm variants, the different height of the spring cups allows to adjust the position of the spring in relation to the shock body which has an influence on the lateral grip available with the +2mm and +4mm retainers increasing side bite without affecting overall traction. The cups also allow to use springs of different lengths which further helps to fine-tune traction available while the outer ring ensures the spring stays in place securely, preventing excessive vibration. The cups are machined from high-quality aluminium, they sport a black surface finish, machined silver edge details and white laser-engraved markings. Shipping of the spring retainers, that come as pairs, will start mid-April.

Rêve D RWD drift car aluminium front axle set

Coming from Rêve D and made for many RWD drift car chassis is an ASL super lightweight aluminium front axle set. The wheel axles feature an integrated hub design, minimising parts involved while maximising precision for less wobble and play and thus improved precision. Due to the lightweight design the rotational efficiency is increased which is essential for a well-handling RWD drift car and several hex shims allow to adjust axle weight and track width. The parts fit both the Rêve D front steering knuckle as well as the respective Yokomo YD-2 series hub and the wheel axle set as well as the track width spacer will become available from end of March.

Rêve D RWD drift car shock springs

Rêve D have announced the soon release of their new shock springs specifically designed for the use with RWD drift cars. Carefully chosen materials, heat treatment, diameters and winding methods result in exceptional controllability, side bite and traction, with the design of the springs allowing to use them in a standard setting or “upside down” in order to fine-tune the car’s behaviour. The springs will become available as separate sets and also as an all-in-one combo package including a storage box.
