Schelle B6 0.5mm carbon bulkhead shims

Schelle Racing Innovations have introduced a set of 0.5mm carbon fibre bulkhead shims for the Team Associated B6 buggy. They allow to shimming the front bulkhead, and thus the inner pivot, lower to the ground to give extra steering in tight turns. US midwest and Australia outdoor racers swear by this setup on a B6D and the set includes two US-made 0.5mm shims that can be stacked up to get up to 1.0mm lower front pins.

Schelle B6 Extreme Battery Strap & Shock Standoff set

Schelle Racing Innovations have introduced the Extreme Battery Strap and an aluminium shock standoff set for the Team Associated B6-series buggy. Starting with the battery strap, the part was designed for laydown gearbox equipped buggies run on medium to low grip dirt as it allows to shift more weight towards the rear end of the vehicle for improved rear traction. The pack is held in place by 3-D-printed 7mm hex battery stops which are easy to install with a 7mm wheel wrench. Stainless steel screws are included, but racers can upgrade to aluminium or Ti to shave weight. The brace fits all five hole locations with a laydown transmission installed and the waterfall removed and it is also usable with the waterfall in place, that then allows for a total of three battery locations. The centre section with 3-hole option also allows to run a chassis brace tie rod.

Schelle B6 Strap X Plate

Schelle B6 Strap X Plate

New from Schelle, the B6 Strap X Plate adapts on top of the popular Schelle B6 carbon battery strap. Using the same 4 attachment screws for the battery stop posts, the X brace creates a stable platform to replace the standard plastic “waterfall” chassis brace with a single tie-rod. A tie-rod style brace has a pivot on each end, instead of the kit part which has only a single pivot. For certain conditions, adding flex in the centre of the chassis can improve both traction and steering through the turns. The general driving feel you’ll have when switching from the plastic waterfall part to a chassis tie-rod is that you will have more rear grip and a less aggressive turn in. Mid corner to exit, the car tends to feel like the rear end rotates and follows the front end through the turn but usually without breaking traction.

Schelle B6 laydown motor plate & guard combo

Schelle B6 laydown motor plate & guard combo-1

Coming from Schelle Racing Innovations and made for the Team Associated B6 buggy with laydown gearbox is the new motor plate and guard combo set. The laydown motor plate allows to attach a 3-D-printed spur gear guard for extra protection as well as helping align the body on the chassis and prevent body rubs. The full round upper portion protects the spur gear with a round surface, and allows for a simple bolt-on spur guard which protects the gear from sucking in carpet fuzz or debris and helps keep everything in place. The motor plate is available in blue or black anodising and for all B6 laydown kits. Coming in December is also a Delrin guard for improved looks.

Schelle B6 flat A-arm front & 31mm rear shock towers

Schelle B6 flat A-arm front & 31mm rear shock towers

Coming from Schelle Racing Innovations are two new carbon fibre option parts for the Team Associated B6 buggy. First up is the flat A-arm front shock tower and wing mount. The front tower design mates with a 3-D-printed upper wing mount, allowing to screw-on the front wing without removing the shock standoffs. The design also allows to quickly extract the mount without removing the shock standoff screws, as well as remove the wing off the car for travel or cleaning while keeping the mount in place. Furthermore the screw-on front wing design eliminates the common wing failure of cracking at the mount tab corner. The front tower kit comes including suitable hardware and a gullwing A-arm variant will be released soon.
