Schumacher CAT PB Front Bearing Driveshaft Conversion

Schumacher has introduced this new Front Bearing Driveshaft Conversion for its CAT PB 1:10 4WD Buggy.  The conversion allows the car to roll more when the transmission is loaded.  Normally a pinned dog bone on a normal output will have more support/bind which keeps the chassis flatter in the corner in turn giving the car more forward drive.  With the ball bearing system you should gain more front end movement from the suspension, allowing the steering and suspension to be less affected by throttle input.  The team have found these give more steering and the front/nose tucks into the corner more resulting in faster pivoting in the corners.  They found the best effects on medium and high grip surfaces.

Schumacher Cougar LD3 Worlds Option Parts

Schumacher has released two new optional parts for its Cougar LD3 which last October team driver Broc Champlin used to take the buggy to the IFMAR 1:10 2WD World Championship title in Australia.  First of the new options is the Worlds Alloy Lower Plate that offers the ability to lower the centre of gravity of the front end by moving the servo down into a flat (horizontal) position, as well as further back.  This results in more stability through the corners and calms down the steering aggression.  Also offering increased stiffness, it can only be used with the flat (horizontal) servo position, and the new Worlds centre track rod.  The Worlds centre track rod features optional steering geometry to adjust the aggression of the steering through the corner.  This new inner hole position will help more with mid to exit steering.

Schumacher CAT PB Optional Steering Arms

New from Schumacher for their CAT PB 1:10 4WD Buggy are these Optional Steering Arms.  Used by their factory race team at the World Championship and other International events, the CAT PB ‘2 pip’ Carbon Fibre Steering Arms offer a new Ackermann position which gives more initial steering and has smoother mid to exit steering.  This will help on tracks which require a less ‘tail happy CAT’ when exiting corners and allows the driver to lean on the steering without any snap oversteer.

Schumacher ‘Classic’ Buggy Option Parts

Schumacher has some new option parts for its ‘Classic’ offroad buggies releasing a Longitudinal Carbon Fibre LiPo Strap, Purple Alloy Steering Radius Arms, and High Performance Slipper Pad.  The longitudinal lipo strap can be used with and without the chassis stiffening system and allows the lipo to mount down the centre line of the chassis, especially helpful when running softer suspension setups as the car will settle quicker out of a corner.  The weight bias will also be slightly more rearward for more traction but will transfer weight faster to the rear on larger jumps.   The purple anodised Alloy Steering Radius Arms add some extra Schumacher violet gorgeousness to your Cougar 2 Works ‘Classic’ as well as increasing rigidity and strength for a better steering response.   The optional slipper pad is made from an ultra low friction material which reduces temperatures, improving consistency and confidence with slipper clutch settings.  Aimed as an improvement on all surfaces from soft to tight settings, it keeps consistent performance over multiple runs.  It fits all Schumacher slipper clutches for the Cougar 2 Works ‘Classic’ and CAT 2000 ‘Classic’
