Schumacher have just announced the first official confirmation of the production of the all new Schumacher Cougar SV competition 2WD off roader. The British company is not giving anything away regarding the specs and configuration but judging by the silhouette we would stab a guess at it being mid motored. We are sure more details will be leaked in the coming weeks and we will keep you up to date as we get more information.

You’ve heard the rumours……seen the chat………and scoured the internet, but now it’s finally here. Schumacher have brought you a tradition of Performance technology, with a pedigree second to none, the Cougar SV is no exception. Schumacher Precision balance pivot set

Schumacher have announced the release of this car balancing jig, which can be used with a pair of scales to accurately measure the corner weights of your Mi4LP car. This is an increasingly important set up tool with LiPo batteries and new lower weight limits and the three point balancing system eliminates any false reading caused by chassis tweak. The Mi4LP chassis all have the correct holes for the mounting of this very accurate and simple system. View an instruction of how it works here (PDF).

Tom Cockerill signs for Schumacher

Tom Cockerill signs for Schumacher

Schumacher have announced the signing of top UK Off Road driver Tom Cockerill to the team. Having previously driven for X-Factory, Tom is a well respected member of the Off Road community and has had an excellent season in 2009, finishing in the top ten in the European Championships and BRCA nationals and also winning his first national earlier this year in dominant fashion. Tom will drive the Cat SX and will also aid in development of new exciting car projects for 2010 and beyond. Joining an already strong factory line up of Simon Moss, Grant Williams and now Tom, 2010 is looking to be an exciting year for the team.

Schumacher Racing were in contact to tell us that are searching for someone to fill an opening in their engineering department. “We require an engineer with a degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering to help design and develop our innovative, world leading products. You will be required to regularly attend race meetings at weekends, to support our racing team, and use the knowledge gained to help with product testing and development. You will be a key member of a small team and will have a major input into the future direction of Schumacher products.”

Schumacher have introduced the Mi4LP, their next high performance electric touring car. Designed by Schumacher’s world championship winning engineering team, led by Phil Booth and developed by 5 time British touring car champion Chris Grainger and the Schumacher Race Team. Touring cars are changing and once again the Schumacher design team have hit the mark with the Mi4LP. With the universal usage of LiPo battery technology and now new lower weight limits, massive consideration has to be taken with left to right weight balance. With the introduction of the new narrow LiPo chassis, adjustable motor position and ability to flip the transmission the Mi4LP can be balanced perfectly whatever your radio choice. This new chassis of course retains many of the features that have dominated the domestic touring car scene over the last season

Schumacher Mi4 Touring car Option parts

Schumacher have released a number of new parts for their Mi4 touring car. First up is are these medium flex 4 degree front caster blocks. Made with the Schumacher medium flex polymer that resists impact breakage but still maintains shape for driving and tuning precision, these new blocks will increase impact durability through the entire front suspension of your Mi3, Mi3.5 or Mi4. Also new are these improved arms which come in hard carbon or medium flex material, and are rapidly becoming a must-have. Beefed up for greatly improved durability, and slightly shorter for a dramatic cornering performance improvement for your car. The final part, the wide shock tower is a standard part on the Mi4, but fits the Mi3 and Mi3.5 cars as a direct replacement. Added body mounting stability and improved rear body downforce effect makes it a powerful and functional hop-up for your Mi3 or Mi3.5.

Schumacher iCharger & P350 Power Supply

Schumacher have introduced the new ‘I’ charger and Power Supply to their range of electronics. The ‘I’ charger 106B+ is a Synchronous Balance charger/discharger for NiMh/NiCd, Lithium, LiPo, LiFe and Lead Acid (Pb) battery packs. The main feature of the ‘I’ charger is that it is capable of charging at up to 10A making it extremely powerful and versatile. In addition to the charger the P350 power supply is now also available. The Powerful AC adapter is applied for any device with DC in 10-18V. It is designed especially for high power charger and balancer charger applications for RC models.

Schumacher Cat SX S1 Chassis & Tubby inserts

Schumacher Cat SX S1 Chassis & Tubby inserts

New from Schumacher for their Cat SX buggy, is this chassis plate and top deck that have been specially designed for LiPo packs only. Made from S1 composite, it is much heavier than the standard carbon fibre versions, keeping the extra weight as low as possible. Also new for the Cat are these new alloy rear upper suspension mount that allows shock bracket mounting on either side which is better for the rear shock conversion kit. Finally Schumacher have introduced Tubby inserts, which give a fuller profile to off road tires, which can be a great tuning aid for serious racers.
