Having released images of their all new Serpent 1/8th scale buggy yesterday, today we have received the first shots of the new car in the wild. Spotted in Ft Lauderdale in Florida, the all new S811 Cobra from Serpent was being put through its paces by chief designer and former World Champion Billy Easton.

Following on from the previous CAD images of the new Serpent buggy, the Dutch company have release actual photos of the new car, along with announcing its official name, the S811 Cobra. In the 3rd part of the interview with chief car designer Billy Easton, the former World Champion runs us through the cars main features and thoughts behind each.

Serpent now offers hard nylon composite suspension parts for the 733 made from an extra stiff and extremely durable composite nylon, which have less flex than the standard parts. Under very high grip conditions, as well as under very high temperatures, the parts will perform best. The new parts, which are indicated with a H (hard) for easier identification, include rear lower wishbones, front lower wishbones and front upper wishbones or as a complete set of 6 pieces.

Serpent have announced that top Dutch 1/10th scale racer Daan Jacobs has returned to their team for the 2010 season. Having raced for Xray for the last two seasons, Daan will next year compete in the Dutch and German Nationals as well as the European Championships in Sweden with his Sirio powered 733.
I am looking forward to the season of 2010. But I also want to thank Xray for the last two seasons. They always support me great and I really enjoyed it, I want to thank my sponsor Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn Amsterdam (Griffioen) and of course the RC shop where I work, 2brothers RC. I chose Serpent also because it is a Dutch company and with the promising 733 car this is an opportunity to improve myself to become a more complete driver.

Following on from last week’s release by Serpent showing the first CAD images of the new Billy Easton designed S8XX, the Dutch company have released the 2nd part of their 4 part interview along with the first images of the chassis itself. The company’s first move into the offroad market, they are also expected to be releasing a truggy, as well as an electric version, in the near future with a ready-to-race version expected also.

Serpent have introduced this 2009 rear suspension upgrade-set for 720 racers. This set allows you to mount the supplied rear uprights and rear lower arms of the 733 to your Serpent 720, the resulting offset will allow for more rear end grip and better cornering. For this the longer pivot balls are needed, which are also supplied.

CSO Racing have released this pair of radio plate mounts for the Serpent 733 1/10th scale 200mm chassis. Made from 7075 T6 aluminium, they are sold in a pair of left and right pieces and while still lightweight they help reduce any flexing in this area. A direct replacement for the standard plastic kit versions.
