Following on from the brief piece from oOple about the Atomic Carbon S2 in which we mentioned that a new 4wd buggy was spotted, comes the first teaser pictures of that car which has turned out to be an Associated B44 with new carbon fibre option parts from Atomic Carbon. Most notable is the beautiful moulded, and machined, carbon fibre tub chassis which sports a different battery layout and radio gear configuration than the original car and also that it no longer uses an upper chassis brace, probably due to the stiffness of the tub. Team Associated have released a service pack for the RC8 1/8th scale buggy and it is available free of charge to all customers who purchased an Factory Team vehicle, part number 80900. The set includes upgraded parts that replace those supplied with the first batch of kits such as multiple arm mounts, front upper and lower wishbones, front top plate and a number of fasteners.

Xtreme Racing, makers of after market carbon parts, have put their skills to work on the new Team Associated B44 buggy, the result of which is some beefy carbon towers and upper decks, that are all available in black, silver and blue. First up is a new rear shock tower, that has been made from 3mm thick carbon fibre and features extra shock mounting holes, a front shock tower is also available and it too has been made from 3mm thick carbon fibre and comes with extra shock mounting hole. Both shock towers also available in 4mm thick carbon fibre for extra strength. Xtreme have also released a replacement for both the front and rear top plates, that sport a different design while finally there are also new carbon battery straps.

King Headz have released these new front steering knuckles for the Team Associated RC8 buggy. Made from 7075 aircraft grade aluminium, they have been anodised and featured the KHZ logo laser engraved into the body. Sold in a pair, they add extra strength to your steering system and only weigh in at 13.8 grams each.

Team Associated have released 2 new products under their Factory Team brand, the first being for the GT2 FT and GT2 RTR and the other being for the RC8. Designed for the GT2, the new black Factory Team Smoothy Muffler’s extra long design provides better top end performance and smoother power delivery for the most drivable 1/10 scale off-road power band. A black rear exhaust manifold is also available. New for the RC8 is a Factory Team Skid Plate, that protects the chassis of your RC8FT and RC8RS RTR from scratches and scuffs.

Team Associated have released a number of new parts for gas off road racers, including new exhaust systems and parts for the RC8. First up is the Factory Team 1/8 scale muffler, which features a 3-chamber design that provides a great combination between bottom end punch and top end performance and is available in both polished and non stick, easy to clean, black. Associated also offer a new off road manifold which is available only in non stick black. For the company’s RC8 buggy, there is a front and rear chassis brace that helps increase chassis stiffness, a great tuning option for high grip conditions where you want to reduce chassis flex. Includes nylon locking insert for added security.
