For charging you will need this new Pro Car LiPo balancer that balances individual cell voltages during charge or discharge and automatically checks for poor quality cells. It can be used alone or with a separate charger or discharger to precisely control charging/discharging for maximum battery performance. Designed to handle up to 6 amps, it’s supplied with banana plugs on input leads to make for easy connection.

Following on from his success at the recent Japanese Nationals, Team Checkpoint racer Marc Rheinard along with Steve O’Donnell have announced the upcoming release of his new Special Edition motor. Besides all the standard Checkpoint features, this special edition motor features a 1.4mm thick can with eight vent slots and a grey oxide finish. The motor will be available for the next out-door season.

Team Checkpoint have announced the release of 2 new versions of this alumminium carry case, one for holding your batteries and one type for your motors. These great looking cases feature a durable aluminum exterior with rounded corners and securely locking latches, while inside is high-density foam that cushions and protects contents from damage. The battery case has cutouts for holding up to 12 packs while the motor case is designed to hold 8 motors and 4 armature tubes and includes two compact 6-compartment boxes for holding small parts such as motor springs, brushes, shims and hardware.

O’Donnell racing have released these 2 new special Atsushi Hara and Jared Tebo edition Team Checkpoint modified motors. Available in a variety of different winds and configurations, these motors are ROAR approved and claim to be the same specifications as used by their champions drivers.

More economical than brushless while still designed to go more races between rebuilds and without sacrificing the performance drivers demand, the Checkpoint motor components are precision engineered using state-of-the-art materials. Also available are several new armature winds, “hard” motor springs and our newest modified motors designed especially for 4-cell racing.

Marc Rheinard joins Team Checkpoint & O’Donnell

Marc Rheinard joins Team Checkpoint & O'Donnell

Former World Champion and top international electric racer, Marc Rheinard has signed a multi year deal with Team Checkpoint and O’Donnell. Announced today, for the 2007 season Marc will run Team Checkpoints batteries and motors for his electric racing and he will also step up his nitro racing using O’Donnell products. Big news indeed for the fast German driver, who also announced an extension of his Tamiya contract, signing for 2 more years to the Japanese manufacturer. Marc leaves Team Orion and joins fellow former World Champion Atsushi Hara who signed a similar deal with Team Checkpoint earlier this year.

Marc is racing in the UK this weekend at the Neo Invitational event, driving a Hot Bodies buggy.
