TLR 22T 4.0 Race Kit 2WD stadium truck

TLR have introduced the 4.0 version of their successful 22T 1/10th 2WD stadium truck. It features some drastic improvements including a mid-motor laydown transmission, a reversible rear shock tower for forward and rear shock mounting as well as a new body shell that supports the new rear shock tower option. As for the new gearbox configuration, the laydown design shifts the motor forward by 20mm which results in a truck that stays much flatter and drives more consistent while the included HDS slipper makes for more consistent drivetrain performance. On the suspension side of things the 4.0 relies on aluminium plate rear hubs for easy roll centre adjustments, while the new rear shock tower allows to run the shock in front of the rear A-arms on higher grip surfaces while the rear position is better on lower grip tracks. Other features include a 7075-T6 aluminium chassis, transverse battery mounting, adjustable toe and anti-squat, as well as a fully updated ball differential. The kit is rounded out by a new motor fan mount and a new body shell.

MIP TLR 22 4.0 Pucks 17.5 Drive System

MIP have introduced the Pucks 17.5 Drive System for the TLR 22 4.0 buggy. It features an aluminium based drivetrain system which includes a 2-piece aluminium outdrive cup and aluminium outdrive hub, two Bi-metal bones, and the replaceable plastic orange wear Pucks that take the place of the inferior steel pins. This combination greatly increases the longevity of the drive train and most importantly decreases the drivetrain’s overall rotating mass by 50 percent. The decrease in weight directly results in quicker acceleration, deceleration, and lower motor temperatures. The set includes all needed parts including the ball differential but except the diff gear and wheel axles. The kit is available for pre-order now and will be produced if 125 pre-orders are received by MIP until November 20th.

RPM Baja Rey front bumper & skid plate

Coming from RPM and made for the Losi Baja Rey truck are a front bumper and skid plate set. With the original Losi front skid plate being too stiff, preventing the bumper from absorbing impacts, RPM have designed an all-new assembly by moving the entire skid plate from between the chassis plate and differential to below the aluminium chassis plate. This move solved a couple of problems, it offers additional chassis protection while also creating a flex zone on the skid plate that would allow more movement of the bumper in impact situations, ultimately saving from costly repairs. The bumper was redesigned as well, strengthening the mount between the skid plate and bumper, yet also creating another flex zone that allows the bumper to compress under extreme impacts, yet return back to its original shape once the impact energy has dissipated, ultimately protecting the more fragile areas of the truck such as the front differential and chassis plate since the bumper now absorbs the impact instead of transferring that energy into the chassis. The bumper and skid plate are moulded from RPM’s renown nylon composite and the set will hit stores soon.
