Horizon Hobby Germany have announced that they have signed star of last year’s Euros in Germany, Marcel Guske away from Mugen and the RMV team to race for TLR. Along with signing Marcel they have also lured away young Burak Kilic, and his father Abduallah, who we featured last week when a video documentary was made about them. Both drivers wanted to thank Mugen Seiki and RMV for their support in the last years and a special thanks was directed to Mathias Reckward for his professional support and a great cooperation.

FTW Exabyte for 8ight-E 2.0

When the FTW laboratory tackled its first electric 1:8 buggy project, it solved the problem of concealing monstrous LiPos and ESCs under sleek bodywork by creating Exabyte for Tekno V4 conversions. Applying this solution to the Team Losi 8ight-E 2.0 resulted in the latest iteration of the Exabyte. Precisely tailored to fit the 8ight-E 2.0 platform, the fastback style of the Exabyte now features additional ventilation options to help keep critical components cool.

Avid vented motor plate for B4.1 & TLR22

Avid RC have released this new vented motor plate for both the B4.1 and TLR22. Take advantage of the unique design of the Avid vented motor plates to improve your buggy or truck. The design team wanted to remove as much weight as possible up high, so they created the 45 degree angled vents which cut completely through the part which removed weight and added much-needed airflow around the motor-plate, yet still maintaining a rigid motor plate to keep gear mesh consistent. 100% milled which avoids all the extra stress that comes from stamping parts in order to keep the motor plates flat and your gear mesh perfect. Each plate is made from black anodized 3mm 6061-T6 aluminium with silver chamfered edge.

TeamSR TLR22T rear shock tower assembly

TeamSR have introduced the only complete Quasi-Isotropic carbon fiber rear shock tower assembly on the market for the TLR22T platform. Emphasis has not only been placed on a clean aesthetic and durability in mind, but also with the TeamSR signature ‘sealed wet look’ edges. Aircraft grade 7075 T6 aluminium is used to provide a solid, black anodized precision machined piece and this unique piece is then engraved with the TSR logo on top. The tower assembly is a true ‘bolt on’ part and comes pre-assembled to provide a more rigid and light weight tower thus increasing durability over the existing factory plastic molded tower.
