Seen during the summer but only now available, Techra announce a unique new tool for setting up touring cars, the Setup Wand. This is a must-have all-in-one tool for building and setting up touring cars. It includes a car bulkhead alignment tool, two droop gauge blocks, two droop gauges and a ride hight gauge with a magnetic system that puts all the tools securely and neatly in place. The Setup Wand is made from aluminium 7075 anodised in black with beautiful shiny silver corner edges for looks.
Coming from Techra and made for the Xray T4 touring car are hard-coated aluminium front spool cups. The lightweight parts are machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and they scrub about 5g of weight compared to Xray’s optional spring steel cups while offering higher rigidity than the standard composite parts. Their hard-coated surface in combination with Techra’s delrin drive shaft caps make them very durable, although they are only recommended for stock racing.
Techra have introduced a range of aluminium suspension mounts for Tamiya’s TRF cars. They are machined from high-quality aluminium and utilise a composite insert system, doing away with the need to use individual mounts to create alternative suspension settings. The parts replicate the standard TRF settings, they are usable with a range of Tamiya and TRF cars including the latest 419X and they come in a cool black and blue 2-tone finish with laser-etched markings for easy identification.
Techra have introduced a set of aluminium steering bellcranks for the Xray T4’16 and ’17. Machined from high-quality 7075-T6 material and coming in a bi-colour black and orange anodising the parts are of a lightweight design while offering improved rigidity over the standard composite arms. Swapping the plastic parts for the alloy pieces will result in a more precise steering action and improved handling especially in high-bite conditions.
Coming from Techra is their new aluminium on-road car stand. Featuring a minimalistic design the stand is 28mm tall and it sports machined silver fillet edges for a special appearance. Equipped with rubber feet and upper foam strips the car stand offers a secure base for the car during building, maintenance and setup and it is usable with both touring and pan car chassis.
Coming from Techra are a range of double joint driveshafts for 1/10th touring cars as well as two 1/10th buggy rear wings. Starting with the driveshafts, the parts are of the now-common dual joint design to reduce wheel chatter and improve efficiency at high steering angles. The are machined from high-quality spring steel, come with a hardened surface and they are available in a range of specifications including 41.3mm front and 39.3mm rear variants for Xray and VBC cars and also 40.6mm front and 39.1mm rear variants for the Yokomo BD7. All come laser-etched with respective markings for easy identification.
Coming from Techra are several aluminium and carbon fibre option parts for a range of kits. First up are aluminium body height adjusters for Yokomo, Xray and VBC touring cars. Machined from 7075 aluminium and coming black anodised and with machined silver details, their design allows to use the parts with Yokomo-style 2mm and Xray/VBC-style 2.5mm body post pins. As usual with these type of adjusters the design of the parts allows for virtually step-less body height adjustments.
Newly formed company Techra have introduced the first in a range option parts.
