Tekno reveal more EB410 details

Tekno have revealed more details of their forthcoming EB410 1/10th scale 4WD electric buggy kit. Lifting the hood the EB410 appeares to be a shrunken-down version of Tekno’s popular EB48 1/8th E-buggy kit with the centre diff being placed in a rear/centre position while the motor is sitting mid ship. The shorty battery pack found its position in the front, just behind the steering servo while receiver and speed controller are located on the passenger seat, just in front of the motor, leaving the rear section of the chassis pretty much free of everything and making for a somewhat extreme forward weight bias given this is a 1/10th 4WD buggy. The kit is scheduled for a release in a few weeks and for now you can find more images and information after the break.

Tekno EB/NB48.4 CVA-style driveshafts

Coming from Tekno are CVA-style driveshafts for the EB48.4 and NB48.4 1/8th scale off-road buggies. The .4 CVAs have been redesigned with an oversized ball joint to reduce wear, resulting in improved consistency. The stock universal driveshafts excel in bumpy conditions but on smoother tracks, CVAs are usually going to yield faster corner speeds, quicker acceleration and reduce weight transfer allowing the driver to grab more throttle earlier in the corner. The new CVA parts must be used together as a complete set of driveshafts, stub axles, CV rebuild kit, and 15x21x4 bearings – all of which are available separately – and are compatible with the EB48.4 and NB48.4 buggies.

Tekno SCT/SL low frequency springs

Tekno have introduced a complete line of Low Frequency springs for the SCT410.3 and EB48SL vehicles. The new design improves traction by reducing chassis oscillation on rough track surfaces and large jump landings. Better stability of the vehicle is achieved, providing more forward grip, increased corner speed and quicker lap times. The spring length has been reduced by 13mm in front and 15mm in the rear to allow for lower ride height adjustments which in turn increases corner speed under high traction conditions, such as carpet or astro-turf, where lower ride heights are essential. With additional coils as well as a larger wire diameter, the new LF springs feature a natural silver finish with a colour indicator for easy spring identification. They directly replace existing springs and are intended to be used on the SCT410, SCT410.3 and the EB48SL vehicles. The set includes two springs and available are five front and five rear sets.
