Xray have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming NT1 2017 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit. As usual official details will not become available until the release that is scheduled for March and thus just in time for the new outdoor season.

Fenix have introduced new aluminium chassis for the Team Associated TC7.1 and Xray X1 cars. Starting with the touring car chassis, the lower main plate is machined from 2mm 7075-T6 material and it offers extensive machining for a low weight and optimised torsional flex characteristics. 85mm wide the part is about 2mm slimmer than the standard carbon fibre chassis for less chassis scrub during hard cornering and weighing in at 82g the part also significantly lowers the overall centre of gravity.
Coming from Mckune Design and made for the Xray T4’17 are a carbon fibre main chassis and two top decks. All parts are cut from high-quality bi-directional carbon fibre with the chassis being 2.25mm thick while the top decks are available in a 2.0mm and a 1.5mm variant. The parts are direct replacements and they are available now.
Xray have announced the signing of Italian National Stock Champion, Nico Catelani to their factory team. AMSCI and UISP champ as well as multiple ETS finalist, Nico will be attending at the Italian Nationals, the EFRA European Championships and the ETS and he had the following to say:
I am very happy and honored to be a part of the factory Xray team for the next season. The Xray development, quality and performance of their cars as well the best team support is what I have admired and now I am happy to enjoy. I will do my best to continue to improve my racing skills and results and I am more than proud for this for this opportunity. I’m looking forward to the next season with my new team!

Xray have announced the signing of reigning Italian 200mm vice-champion, David Loppini to their factory team. Already an Xray privateer David will now receive the full factory support at races such as the Italian national championship, the ENS and select international events. The multiple ENS finalist had the following to say:

I have raced as a private driver the Xray cars and the reliability and especially the performance helped me to reach all my achievements and to improve myself as a driver. Xray have announced the signing of Germany’s Philipp Guschl to their factory team. The former German National Champion and Euro B podium finisher will campaign Xray’s XB8 platform at regional, national and international events including the German Nationals and the European Championships B. Philipp says:
Since ever I have admired Xray for their highest quality products and the work the team puts into making their cars updated and faster every year. Avid have introduced three kits of titanium ball studs and pivot balls for the Xray X12 1/12th scale pan car kit. Machined from billet 6AI-4V titanium the parts are about 40 percent lighter than the standard steel balls without sacrificing strength and they utilise a 2mm Allen head for easy installation and removal. Available is a full 14-piece conversion kit including ten 4.2×6.5mm ball studs and four 5.8mm pivot balls as well as a 10-piece and 2-piece 4.2×6.5mm ball stud kit.
Following a series of teasing images Xray have finally revealed the 2017 variant of their popular XB8 1/8th nitro buggy platform. The follow-up model of the 2016 EFRA vice European Champion is based on a 3mm 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that makes for an updated weight distribution and it utilises a range of redesigned drivetrain and suspension parts to further up the overall performance and to make for optimised traction in a range of conditions. Starting up front the 2017 kit comes with more narrow front lower arms that sit in a more forward position while new trailing axle front steering knuckles increase forward traction, resulting in better handling. On top of this do improved steering pivot balls eliminate unwanted wheel lock at high steering angles.
