Gord Tessmann appointed Xray US Offroad Team Manager

Following the signing of son Ty, Xray and RC America have announced that Gord Tessmann has been appointed as the Xray North America Off-road Team Manager. Gord said “Team Xray and RC America have opened up an opportunity for me and I am thrilled to announce that I will be the North American team manager for them. Without a doubt, Xray and Hudy are known already worldwide for making the highest quality products and their attention to detail is second to none. Their commitment to racing is evident in everything they do. My goal will be to make a team built on passion, integrity and excellence. John at RC America has been instrumental in making this opportunity happen, and I look forward to working closely with him to grow the Xray team in North America. Xray XT2 graphite lower A-arms

Coming from Xray and made for the XT2 stadium truck are graphite lower A-arms. Moulded using a specially formulated composite material the suspension arms offer increased stiffness compared to the already available medium and hard arms, optimising the truck’s performance especially on high and very high bite surfaces. The arms are of a symmetrical design, allowing to use them on the left and right hand side of the truck and they are available separately for the front and rear end.

Xray welcome Ty Tessmann

The rumour mill was running hot on this topic and now the predictions of many have come true as Xray have officially announced the signing of former HB Racing factory driver, Ty Tessmann. The 2014 IFMAR World Champion and multiple ROAR Nationals winner will campaign Xray’s 1/8th and 1/10th off-road vehicles at all major events in the United States and Canada. He had the following to say about the deal:

I am very excited to be joining the Xray/RC America Team. Their drive for perfection in every aspect of the company, from the design and build of their cars to the presentation of their products, will perfectly compliment my current race program. I look forward to working closely with Martin Bayer on development of the off-road platforms to adapt them to North American tracks. I hope to be able to help grow and promote the brand worldwide with a focus on North America. MR33 T4’17 carbon fibre main chassis & top deck

Tonisport have introduced the MR33 carbon fibre main chassis and top deck for the Xray T4’17. Both parts are machined from high-quality USA-made carbon fibre with the main chassis being cut from 2.25mm material while the top deck comes made from 2.0mm carbon fibre. Both parts are direct replacements for the stock items and they are available now.

Xray 64 pitch 90T offset spur gear

Coming from Xray is a 64 pitch 90T offset spur gear for the T4 line of touring cars. Precision moulded and strategically lightened for a reduced weight the gear is made from a hard composite material for long wear and quiet operation. The smallest Xray touring car main gear yet adds to the already existing range of 92T to 118T gears and it is ideal for high-turn stock motor classes.

Xray sign Alessio Mazzeo

Xray have announced the signing of Italian frontrunner, Alessio Mazzeo to their factory team. The former Serpent driver is EFRA Euro B and A title holder, 2016 IFMAR 200mm vice World Champion and 5-times Italian national champion. Alessio will compete in events such as the ENS, at EFRA GPs, the national championship, the XRS and also at the EFRA Euros and IFMAR Worlds and he has the following to say about the deal:

I am very happy to be part of a really prestigious but especially the forefront for the RC world. After many years spent in the Serpent there was no better team to be able to support me to carry on the hard work that I and my team have done in recent years, I can not wait to begin to address this challenge, see you on the track, ciao ciao Alessio.

Yeah Racing T4’17 carbon fibre option parts

Coming from Yeah Racing is a range of carbon fibre option parts for Xray’s T4 2017 touring car. First up are two equal flex carbon fibre chassis plates of harder 2.25mm and softer 2.0mm specification. Both offer a symmetrical design with mirrored motor cut-outs that make for equal left-to-right flex characteristics. The chassis are direct replacements for the stock main plate and they are available separately.

T-Works 1/10th touring car aluminium shock nuts

T-Works have announced the release of aluminium shock nuts for 1/10th scale touring cars such as the Yokomo BD7 and BD8 as well as the Xray T4. The spring preload adjusters are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, they come black anodised and feature a laser-etched marking to make equal left-to-right adjustment easy. On top of this each nut sports individual corner markings for easy identifications of the left and right, front and rear shocks. Included comes a set of O-rings to securely retain the adjusted spring tension.
