Samix T4’17 matte-finish 2mm carbon fibre upper deck

Following the introduction of the 2.25mm matte-finish carbon fibre lower deck, Samix now also released information on the respective upper deck. The top plate is cut from high-quality sheet material, it sports a matte surface finish to match Samix’s main chassis plate and it is a direct replacement for the kit’s glossy finish part.

Samix T4’17 2.25mm carbon fibre main chassis

Coming from Samix and made for Xray’s T4’17 touring car is a 2.25mm carbon fibre main chassis plate. Cut from high-quality matte-finish carbon fibre the chassis is of a near fully symmetrical design with a mirrored under-motor cut-out for equal left-to-right flex characteristics. Included with the chassis comes a black anodised add-on aluminium motor fan mount for 40mm fan units.

Xray RX8 aluminium pinion tool

Xray have introduced a dedicated aluminium pinion tool for the RX8 1/8th on-road car. The wrench helps to install and remove pinions from the XCA clutch system without harming the gears or clutchbell. Made from high-quality 7075 aluminium the tool sports a black surface treatment for wear and looks and it is usable with 17T to 19T first gear and 22T to 25T second gear pinions.

Jerome Aigoin to run Xray and Ultimate

Aigoin Racing have announced the signing of French frontrunner, Jerome Aigoin. The former long-time Kyosho pilot and 3-times French National Champion will campaign Xray kits, Ultimate engines and Hudy accessories, joining his brother Yannick in running the Slovakian buggies.

Gord Tessmann appointed Xray US Offroad Team Manager

Following the signing of son Ty, Xray and RC America have announced that Gord Tessmann has been appointed as the Xray North America Off-road Team Manager. Gord said “Team Xray and RC America have opened up an opportunity for me and I am thrilled to announce that I will be the North American team manager for them. Without a doubt, Xray and Hudy are known already worldwide for making the highest quality products and their attention to detail is second to none. Their commitment to racing is evident in everything they do. My goal will be to make a team built on passion, integrity and excellence. Xray XT2 graphite lower A-arms

Coming from Xray and made for the XT2 stadium truck are graphite lower A-arms. Moulded using a specially formulated composite material the suspension arms offer increased stiffness compared to the already available medium and hard arms, optimising the truck’s performance especially on high and very high bite surfaces. The arms are of a symmetrical design, allowing to use them on the left and right hand side of the truck and they are available separately for the front and rear end.

Xray welcome Ty Tessmann

The rumour mill was running hot on this topic and now the predictions of many have come true as Xray have officially announced the signing of former HB Racing factory driver, Ty Tessmann. The 2014 IFMAR World Champion and multiple ROAR Nationals winner will campaign Xray’s 1/8th and 1/10th off-road vehicles at all major events in the United States and Canada. He had the following to say about the deal:

I am very excited to be joining the Xray/RC America Team. Their drive for perfection in every aspect of the company, from the design and build of their cars to the presentation of their products, will perfectly compliment my current race program. I look forward to working closely with Martin Bayer on development of the off-road platforms to adapt them to North American tracks. MR33 T4’17 carbon fibre main chassis & top deck

Tonisport have introduced the MR33 carbon fibre main chassis and top deck for the Xray T4’17. Both parts are machined from high-quality USA-made carbon fibre with the main chassis being cut from 2.25mm material while the top deck comes made from 2.0mm carbon fibre. Both parts are direct replacements for the stock items and they are available now.
