Myron Kinnard TQs & wins at Bash at the Beach

The 2018 Bash at the Beach DAV charity event was hosted by 386 RC Raceway inside the Sunshine mall in Daytona. By far the largest class of the weekend was USVTA with some of the top Florida and Carolina VTA drivers being on hand including a ROAR VTA Champ as well. Myron Kinnard would overall TQ the class by winning the last chance qualifier with a 99 percent consistency and a 28-lapper to line up in 1st for the 8-minute A-main. Sitting in the TQ spot all Myron had to do was make it into turn 1 and 2. With eight long minutes anything can happen, but with a positive mind and steady hand Kinnard was able to go tone to tone, and take home the TQ and Championship.

Tim Wood wins BRCA 1/8th Track Nats Rd5

Round 5 of the BRCA 1/8th Track National Championship was held at the Mendip track last weekend. In 1/8th Nitro On-road and after the finals had to be restarted due to an accident involving personal injury, Tim Wood carefully started into the main final. Since no tyre change was planned on his Shepherd car, but his opponent, Serpent’s Alex Thurston went for a tyre change, the outcome of the race should be decided in the late stage of the race. But due to a gearbox damage Alex lost valuable time so Tim was able to drive home a safe victory. The second place went to Alex, the final podium spot went to Clive Connolly. Neal King (Shepherd) just missed the podium crossing the finishing line in 4th position.
