Medial Pro goes up for sale

French tire brand Medial Pro have released a statement announcing that company founder and current owner Eric Bertrand has placed the company up for sale. With declining margins, increased costs to keep manufacturing in France and increased competition with lower priced tires that are being made in Asia, he has decided on this course of action. Having been around for almost 2 decades the company has won many major titles and still continues to make a quality product and hopefully when a new buyer is found, for which he already has some interested parties, the brand that was started in 1989 will continue to exist.

Paul Wynn Joins JConcepts R&D

While this has been in place for a while now, JConcepts have announced the addition of Paul Wynn to JConcepts’ Research and Development. A recognized face in the R/C industry, Paul is one of the top on-road drivers, and with previous work experience at Schumacher USA, he is one of the best and most respected R/C car racers in the world. Paul’s knowledge and over 20 years of experience will help guide the department in planning, coordination and development of new and innovative products to add to JConcepts already successful line of kits, bodies, tires, wheels and accessories. We require an experienced technical support person to join our friendly After Sales Care team. Ideally from a car service repair background, we require someone who is highly motivated, confident and with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to carry out repairs to our product and be able to offer advice and guidance to assist in offering a second to none after sales care to our customers. Experience working with Nitro and Electric Radio Controlled cars would be a distinct advantage.

Shin Adachi to attend this weeks Euros

Kyosho have confirmed to us that their top Japanese Factory racer, and the man behind the TF-5 Stallion Shin edition, Shinosuke Adachi will be present at this weeks European Electric Touring car Championships being held in Montbrison, France to provide support to all Kyosho racers at the event. This marks the first time that Kyosho will sponsor and provide support at an electric event in Europe since the Japanese brand re entered the EP market with the Lazer ZX5 buggy back in 2005. Kyosho have seen a huge push towards electric classes lately with the introduction of their TF-5 chassis back in 2006 and the release of the Ultima RB5 2wd buggy earlier this year as well as changes within the company that have seen the hiring of Gil Losi Jr in March and the acquisition of Team Orion in May. The smiling man you see in the picture above is just the first step in a larger move towards World domination by Kyosho as already witnessed in the 1/8th scale buggy class since the late 90’s and the gas on road class in the last 6 years.
