Associated confirm Kaerup for MIBO International

Team Associated has confirmed they will be represented at the upcoming MIBO International Race in the Czech Republic with the news that their teenage offroad star Marcus Kaerup will make his debut at the third edition of the event on February 7-9th. The multiple European Champion and World Championship finalist is set to take the challenge to Sworkz’s defending 2WD Champion Joern Neumann and Schumacher pairing of Michal Orlowski and Daniel Kobbevik. Having been denied back to back European 2WD Buggy titles by Orlowski last September in Swedend when EFRA hosted the European Championship indoor on carpet, the 17-year-old Dane will be looking to prevent the reigning MIBO International Touring Car Champion from doing the double as the Polish ace races on both the onroad and offroad track this year. In 4WD he will take on the Xray of fellow teenager and reigning champion Bartek Zalewski. Red RC is looking forward to kicking off its 2025 World tour of race coverage by making the trip to Hrotovice once again to report on the action.

Yokomo confirm Krapp for 3rd MIBO International outing

Having attended the previous two years of MIBO International, Yokomo has confirmed its return for the 3rd edition of the annual Czech race where it will once again be represented by ISTC World Championship podium finisher Christopher Krapp. The Japanese manufacturer’s lead international driver and team manager travels to Hrotovice aiming to mix it with defending Champion Michal Orlowski over the weekend of February 07-09. A unique event, MIBO International brings together both electric touring car and electric offroad racers on the same weekend with the building of two indoor carpet tracks side by side at the Sports V Hotel. With everything from the track, restaurant, bowling alley and hotel rooms all under one roof, the venue has always been popular with racers and counts Bruno Coelho, Ronald Volker, Joern Neumann, Adam Izsay and Bartek Zalewski as some of its champions. With a capped entry limit the relaxed schedule means plenty of time in the evening to wind down and socialise over dinner after each day’s racing.

Orlowski to defend MIBO International Touring Car title

Defending MIBO International Touring Car Champions Schumacher and the British manufacturer’s star driver Michal Orlowski are to return to the third edition of the Czech based race next February to defend their title. Orlowski took the 2024 title when he beat the Mugen Seiki of inaugural MIBO International race winner Ronald Volker at the unique indoor event. While a lack of mechanic hampered Orlowski’s plans to race both Touring Car and Offroad this year, the recent Florida Carpet Championships winner and reigning 1:10 2WD European Champion has entered to do both in 2025, the race taking place at the Sports V Hotel in Hrotovice on February 07-09. Organised by former international touring car racer Michal Bok, having only opened registration for the annual event less than a week ago, the 2025 MIBO International has already surpassed 125 entries. With a capped entry limit allowing for a relaxed schedule and plenty of time in the evening to wind down and socialise over dinner after each day’s racing, the race is officially a two and a half day event and gets underway on the Friday evening with practice to allow for travel Friday morning. The Offroad track will cater for 2WD and 4WD Buggy and ‘Offroad Kids’, while on the onroad track the racing action will cater for Modified, Stock & FWD Touring car with a 1:12 GT 13.5T class as well as ‘Onroad Kids’ being introduced for 2025.

2025 MIBO International registration opens

The MIBO International Race in the Czech Republic which takes place on February 07-09 has announced that registration for the third edition of the annual race is now open. Organised by former international touring car racer Michal Bok, the race brings together both electric onroad and offroad racing on two tracks build side by side by the team from Mibosport. Realising a long time dream to host his own major international event in Hrotovice, Bok’s first edition of MIBO International saw Mugen’s Ronald Volker crowned the inaugural Touring Car Champion and Xray’s Bruno Coelho take double buggy honours at the Sport V Hotel venue. In 2024 it was Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski who took the Touring Car win while on the Offroad track it was Sworkz’ Joern Neumann in 2WD and Xray’s Bartek Zalewski in 4WD that came away as the Champions. With everything from the track, restaurant, bowling alley and hotel rooms all under one roof, the venue was a hit with racers who travelled from more than 13 different countries. With a capped entry limit the relaxed schedule also meant plenty of time in the evening to wind down and socialise over dinner after each day’s racing. On the onroad track, the racing action will again cater for Modified, Stock & FWD Touring car with a 1:12 GT 13.5T class being introduced for 2025. Having successfully had an offroad class for young racers the past two years, for 2025 there will also be ‘Onroad Kids’. The Offroad track will cater for 2WD and 4WD Buggy and of course ‘Offroad Kids’. MIBO International 2025 – Announcement

Counting Michal Orlowski, Ronald Volker, Bruno Coelho and Joern Nuemann among its previous winners, MIBO International returns for a third edition in 2025 with former international touring car racer Michal Bok confirming February 07-09 as the date for the Czech based event. A long time dream of Bok to host his own major international event in Hrotovice, the indoor event finally came to fruition in 2023 bringing together both electric onroad and offroad racing on two tracks build side by side by the team from Mibosport. The first edition of MIBO International saw the Mugen of Volker crowned the inaugural Touring Car Champion and Coelho’s Xrays take double buggy honours at the Sport V Hotel venue. The 2024 edition would see Orlowski steer his Schumacher to the Touring Car victory while on the offroad track Neumann’s Sworkz took the 2WD honours and young Bartek Zalewski took 4WD from Xray team-mate Martin Bayer. With everything from the track, restaurant, bowling alley and hotel rooms all under one roof, the venue is always a hit with racers. With a capped entry limit the relaxed schedule also means plenty of time in the evening to wind down and socialise over dinner after each day’s racing. Officially a two and a half day event, the event gets underway on Friday evening with practice to allow for travel Friday morning. MIBO Wire Organiser v2

Czech brand MIBO has released a new v2 version of its Wire Organiser. The updated design complementing MIBO Cube Bullet connectors and the securing screws now have the more common 1.5mm hex. The aluminium wire organiser is for 12-14AWG power cables. With an outer dimensions 19×7.5×6 mm, it is a useful tool for securing cables between ESC and motor, or battery and enhancing the look of your chassis.

MIBO International ’24 – Offroad track reveal

Ahead of this weekend’s second edition of the MIBO International Race, the organisers of the Czech Republic event has revealed the offroad track layout on which this year’s competitive driver line-up with battle it out for honours. Unveiling 2-weeks ago the onroad track it will be built next to, the offroad layout is the creation of event organiser Michal Bok, with the carpet track featuring 10-jumps. Taking place in the Sports V Hotel in Hrotovice and starting Friday evening, the stage for two & half day event is set for some great battles in 2WD and 4WD Buggy between Schumacher pairing Michal Orolwski & Daniel Kobbevik, Sworkz duo Joern Neumann & Micha Widmaier, Team Associated’s Joona Haatanen and Xray’s star of the 2023 MIBO International Bartek Zalewski.
