Carson Battery pack Accessories

Carson have released a number of new products for assembling battery packs such as these soldering connectors, available in copper, gold and platinum. Sold in packs of 8, these soldering connectors are capable of carrying very high current and due to their design ensure that you have a 100% contact to your cell, which provides a very low contact resistance. Also new from Carson are 4mm gold contacts that are sold in packs of 2x sockets, 2x connectors and shrinking tube and have been designed for optimal conductivity, due to their low contact resistance and ability to stay free of oxidation.

KM Racing Clutch bell & Battery trays

KM Racing have informed us about some of their new and upcoming products which are suitable for a number of different 1/10th scale 200mm cars. The first product is this lightweight steel clutch bell, which is suitable for use on the Xray NT1, the many holes reduce the rotating weight of this part making for a more responsive clutch. KM have also released a number of flexible FRP fibre battery trays, one each for the Kyosho V-One, Mugen MTX4 and the Xray NT1, all of which feature machining on the underside to protect the battery tape from scuffing on the ground and all sport the KM Racing logo.

Carson Car stands and tools

German company Carson have sent us lots of stuff to get through so here is the first batch of products. First off we have this metal work stand, with blue anodised base, which features an anti slip rotating upper platform for easily working on different sides of your car. The platform also features 4 openings into which you can hold your shock absorbers as you fill them. Next up is a car stand on the other end of the price scale, featuring the Carson logo it’s made from a material similar to sponge rubber, which provides a firm stand and no slipping. Carson have also released an anti-slip pit mat (450x300mm) that due to its soft material avoids that screws and nuts roll away as well as protecting the underside of your car. Also new from the German company are a set of sturdy Allen wrenches in 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm, and a ride height gauge measuring from 3mm to 8mm in 0.5 mm increments. Finally for on your work bench there is a battery pack cooling stand that uses 2 high-quality fans to help cool down your batteries after charging or driving.

Trinity Duo brushless motor heatsinks

Trinity have released these new hard anodized aluminum heatsink for the most popular brushless motors. Installed in minutes the heatsink replaces the can center for more cooling surface and better heat transfer which improves performance by reducing motor heat. This system, which is more efficient than clip on heatsinks, wont fall off in the event of a crash and is available in 2 sizes, one ROAR/IFMAR size (right) for on road and off-road racing and one Monster truck size (left) which offers higher cooling for monster trucks and any non-sanctioned racing both on and off-road.

Dutch company Spintec have released this simple carrying case which has been specifically designed to safely store the company’s ICC charger. Featuring a padded construction, the case helps protect against as all kinds of abuse when travelling to races and for ease of transport it comes complete with a handy belt for carrying it on your shoulder. The case is also the perfect size to carry your transmitter and other items to races.

Trinity Aluminum 8ight Rear Hub Carriers

Trinity have releasd this pair of aluminium rear hub carriers for the Team Losi 8ight and 8ight-T. Extensively tested by Losi drivers, especially Adam Drake, these anodised hubs are a much stronger alternative to the standard parts and are a simple direct replacement. Available soon.

KM Racing release more NT1 options

KM Racing NT1 options

KM Racing have released yet more parts for the Xray NT1 1/10th scale car with the release of 2 new products. The first product is an adjustable belt tension plate that has been made from 2.5mm thick carbon fibre and offers a neat way to adjust the cars side belt tension. Also new from KM are lightweight shaft spacers which have been made from aluminium and lightened with holes. The spacers come in pairs and are available in standard silver colour and anodised grey.

New Spring sets from Serpent

More new products from Serpent, this time its the release of 2 sets of new series shock springs, which are suitable for use with all current and previous Serpent shock absorbers. Sold in sets of 5 pairs of springs, 1 set contains 23mm length springs, 1mm longer than the older version, for the front of 1/8th scale chassis’ and both the front and rear of 1/10th scale chassis’, while the 2nd set contains 27mm springs for use on the rear of 1/8th scale chassis’. Featuring a new colour rating these new series of springs are of a better quality, coming with ground flat ends, and as they no longer have a colour coating they function more accurately. The spring’s hardness is now identified by the coloured paint on the springs tip.
