JConcepts 2005 Chevy 1500 MT single cab MT body shell

Coming soon from JConcepts is their new 2005 Chevy 1500 MT single cab rigid axle monster truck body shell. The 2005 Chevy Silverado is a big, all-American truck, and it looks the part, with its wide face and stylish yet slab-sided flanks. Ninety-degree angles dominate the styling providing that all-important Chevy bowtie look and the horizontal hardlines along the body panels ensures the truck’s dramatic road presence. The cat-eye headlights stare down the competition while the upper and lower grille marks its territory and provides an impactful arrival. The chiseled front-end, bumper fascia and front tire openings gives off a lot of monster madness while the aerodynamics remain for the truck to hold its own in a straight-line. A twin-port grille, full-width bumper and “power hump” hood create a strong presence, which is carried through in sculpted body sides. The grille area has not been compromised and accepts the detailed JConcepts decal sheet and includes two different grille and headlight options. The front fascia is strong and while the large tire openings swoop through, the bumper has recessed areas for side-marker lights and air inlet. The tailgate is rigid in appearance with a slight undercut that is so common on the Chevrolet trucks. The 2005 Silverado’s bed features a slight recess which painters can leave clear or detail to their specification on any build. No race truck would be complete without a bobbed rear bedside to give racers extra clearance and an unmistakable visual rake. Each package includes window mask, 2005 generation Chevy Silverado specific decal sheet and clear polycarbonate body. The body was developed for 12.5” wheelbase trucks and it will hit stores very soon.

JConcepts 2005 Chevy 1500 Samson MT body shell

Coming from JConcepts is their new 2005 Chevy 1500 Samson body shell for rigid axle monster trucks. When it comes to original and trend setting designs, Dan Patrick is a legend in the sport of monster truck racing. A chassis builder since 1989, Dan’s designs and inspiration lives through many components in the monster truck industry and of course, his world famous, Samson truck. Now JConcepts brings another favorite to the circuit with the RC version of the famous “big gunned” Monster truck. Starting with the 2005 Chevy Silverado, the JConcepts team took a considerable amount of time to blend the 3D Samson arms into the design. The blended truck and character have been around since Dan Patrick was contracted by a TV company in the early 90’s to produce something for the famous show, American Gladiator. Since then, it’s been a trademark of the Samson team to run the “big guns” on every racing vehicle in the line-up. The body was developed for 12.5” wheelbase trucks and a twin-port grille, full-width bumper and power hump hood create a strong presence, which is carried through in sculpted body sides. Each package includes window mask, 2005 generation Chevy Silverado specific decal sheet, racerback, visor and clear polycarbonate body. In addition, this body includes the Samson graphics wrap that can be applied to the finished product for that final appearance.

WellRC WellCut body post & exhaust stinger marker

WellRC have introduced two new WellCut products that help to make preparing on-road body shells a lot easier. First up is the WellCut for 1/8th scale body shells, a system that helps to locate the body posts when prepping already painted body shells. Place the WellCuts over the front body posts with the magnets facing the rear of the car and secure them with two body clips. After using the WellCut template to cut out the rear of the car, set the body on the car and drop the front two outer magnets into place. The super strong magnets will immediately centre themselves. Use a fine tip black permanent marker to mark the centres of the magnets. Remove the body and cut the two holes with a body reamer and you’re set. Available in two sizes to fit 7 and 8mm diameter front posts.

Leadfinger Racing NB48 2.0 Tactic A2.1 body

Leadfinger Racing have introduced their Tactic A2.1 body shell for the new Tekno RC NB48 2.0 buggy. First introduced in mid 2019, the A2.1 Tactic body design form has proven it self on the track with a handful of different platforms. For the NB48 2.0 the designers had to adapt the A2.1 design to the buggy’s unique layout with these differences resulting in widening the cab and adding to the size of the side pod scoops for clearance. To keep performance in check, additional downforce was added to the rear of the side pods and rear centre of the body. The cab is topped off with a shark fin for stability and to finish off the design a front scoop was added. The body is available now and it includes window masks and a sticker sheet.
