Schumacher Mi6Evo 1/10th touring car kit

Coming from Schumacher is the Mi6Evo electric touring car kit. The car utilises the latest developments from Schumacher’s international racing and engineering team such as a modified chassis plate with increased cut outs around the suspension mounts for more traction. The shorter span, reduced footprint motor mount gives increased rear chassis flex and rear traction and it allows to brace the rear top deck without connecting it to motor mount for different stiffness tuning. On top of this the motor position moved 3mm inboard to reduce roll while centre line belts make for perfect balance. Other features include a lightweight 5-spoke spool, a lightweight centre pulley, carbon fibre reinforced nylon wishbones reduce weight and increase flexibility and an optional larger spur makes for a more forward motor positioning in modified racing. The kit will hit stores in March.

Team Associated T4.3 Ready-to-Run kits

Team Associated’s “near vintage” T4 2WD stadium truck is now available in the T4.3 variant and with RTR specification. The fully assembled truck features a new Team Associated 2.4Ghz radio system as well as an all new metal-gear, high-torque Reedy digital servo. Power is supplied by a Reedy 3300kV brushless motor while the water-resistant, high-power, 3S LiPo-capable Reedy electronic speed control with T-Plug and LiPo low-voltage cutoff provides smooth throttle control. Revised suspension arms provide additional durability and longer wear for everything from backyard bashing to head-to-head racing. The truck is available as RTR package without charger and battery and also as RTR LiPo Combo including a compact balance charger and LiPo battery pack.

Schumacher Atom CC GT12 1/12th scale kit

Coming from Schumacher is the new Atom CC GT12 Racer 1/12t scale on-road kit. Alongside the original SupaStox Atom, the Atom CC features a carbon fibre chassis and the ability to adjust the battery mounting position. The CC is ideal for the driver that likes a more responsive and edgy feel to their car. The kit is available in two specifications, as Pro variant including a lightweight ball differential, Contact wheels with improved flex and handling characteristics, and side dampers, and also in the slightly lower spec Sport variant that utilises a rigid rear axle, no side dampers and old-style Contact rear wheels. Both variants will hit the stores late February.

HB Racing release more D817 images

HB Racing have issued a new set of images showing the production prototype of the soon-to-be-released D817 1/8th off-road buggy. First information released indicate the buggy will be using a new long wheelbase 3mm aluminium chassis, a fine-adjustment aluminium D-mount, revised rear end upright geometry, universal and CV-style driveshaft compatibility as well as monocoque suspension arms, sintered brake pads and a reinforced and enclosed radio tray. Also included will be a Pro-Line Predator bodyshell and Trifecta wing. With the kit being on show at next week’s International Toy Fair in Nuremberg, Germany we guess HB Racing will soon post more details of the 2016 World Championship winning buggy.

Tamiya set for more (re-)releases in 2017

Information about forthcoming Tamiya (re-)release kits is coming in thick and fast these days as the Japanese company is set for more re- and new releases this year. Following some interesting re-releases such as the Bigwig 2017 and Top Force 2017, Tamiya will reportedly also re-issue the Grasshopper II alongside new releases such as the DT-03 based Racing Fighter Chrome entry-level 2WD buggy, the Ferrari F12TdF and the MAN TGS Team Reinert Racing truck. We bring you more information on all kits as soon as they surface.

SWorkz S35-3 1/8th nitro buggy – More images

Ahead of its official introduction SWorkz have released more images of the new S35-3 1/8th nitro buggy kit. The latest incarnation of the S35 platform comes with newly designed front arms with the upper wishbones allowing to use carbon fibre inserts to adjust stiffness while a new steering plates makes for an optimised Ackermann geometry. Other changes include new shock towers, a redesigned radio tray, updated rear arms as well as a new 7075 aluminium chassis that allows to attach optional weights to fine-tune the buggy’s weight distribution.

TLR 22T 3.0 2WD stadium truck kit

Team Losi Racing have introduced their new 22T 3.0 2WD stadium truck kit. Based off of the championship-winning 22 3.0 buggy the latest variant of TLR’s popular race truck benefits from the same innovations as the 22 3.0 buggy and so the truck features a revised motor position that is 12mm closed to the diff gear for better rear end grip, more corner entry steering and an overall easier to drive vehicle. Also included is the new 3-gear transmission for decreased chassis roll and improved stability. The front suspension received a make-over with all-new C-blocks and A-arms as well as a bellcrank steering system that makes for a more neutral yet nimble handling.

Tekno NB48.4 1/8th nitro buggy kit

Following the introduction of the EB48.4 a few weeks back, Tekno now also revealed the revamped NB48 platform. The latest .4 kit features a new CNC-machined 7075 aluminium chassis with improved wear characteristics, a revised steering geometry and Ackermann plate, a bearing supported spindle and carrier design, a revised wide rear pivot suspension geometry as well as new universal driveshafts for a more efficient drivetrain. Other changes include CNC-machined 4×1.9mm flat/flat delrin pistons and rod guides, aluminium bleeder shock caps to allow building emulsion, vented and non-vented shocks as well as new low-frequency shock springs and a fighter yet inspired bodyshell.
