Yokomo introduce YZ-2 carpet & dirt kits

Yokomo will soon have two new YZ-2 buggy kits available in the form of the YZ-2CA and YZ-2DT. Both build on the previous and now discontinued YZ-2 buggy and they feature a new aluminium main chassis and dedicated gearbox designs for high-grip carpet or low-grip dirt applications. The YZ-2CA carpet and astro turf specific car, as used by Yokomo factory driver Lee Martin during last weekend’s third round of the 2015/16 EOS, comes with a newly designed low layshaft “carpet spec” 3-gear transmission with new idler gear, long suspension arms, and a lightweight body, making the buggy ideal for all high-grip applications.

HPI Racing introduce updated Savage trucks

HPI Racing’s iconic Savage 1/8th scale monster truck range receives a make-over for the 2016 season with the XL 5.9 2.0, XL Octane V2 and XL Flux all being on show during this week’s Nuremberg International Toy Fair. Starting with the updated Savage XL 5.9 2.0, the truck features a variety of upgrades and changes, making it faster, meaner and even bigger. Underneath the GTXL-1 bodyshell in a new subdued colour, the chassis is the same as the colossal Savage XL Octane, with its TVP design, 3-speed Octane transmission, triple brake disc system, and a complete set of all-metal Super HD drivetrain parts. The truck is powered by the new F5.9 engine.

Infinity 1/8th nitro on-road car – Coming soon

Asian company Creation Model will officially release their Infinity 1/8th nitro on-road car this coming week. The car comes from the mind of former Japanese National Champion and World Championships podium finisher Masao Tanaka and it was developed with the help of drivers such as Lamberto Collari during the past year. Around in prototype stages for some time, the first official images of the car and information on the features and specifications will become available on February 2nd.

HPI Racing Q32 Formula micro-size RTR racer

HPI Racing’s Q32 palm-size RTR cars are soon also available as the Q32 Formula. The tiny racers feature the look and the styling of classic open-wheel racers and they come painted in cool retro colours every 1990’s Formula 1 fan will recognise. The Q32 features a 2.4GHz controller which doubles as a car charger, foam tyres for traction on tile and carpet and RealSteer technology for good car control.

Mugen MRX-6 1/8th scale onroad car

Used by designer Robert Pietsch at the final round of last season’s ENS final in Italy, Mugen have today released information and images on their new MRX-6. Featuring a large number of changes over its predecessor, the MRX-6 features a new narrow chassis that allows you to easily adjust the weight of the car by using (up to five) H2412 weights in the centre line of the chassis. You’re also able to adjust the weight balance of the car by moving the weights forward or back on the chassis. The new narrow chassis is also stiffer and makes the vehicle more precise and predictable.

Team Magic E6 III BES 1/8th monster truck

During this week’s Nuremberg International Toy Fair HRC Distribution are presenting their forthcoming Team Magic E6 III BES almost-ready-to-run monster truck. The 1/8th scale electric vehicle is the full option ARR version of the popular E6 III HX RTR truck and it comes without electronics but a range of gold-coloured aluminium option parts such as front and rear shock towers, sliding motor mount, primary transmission case, shocks, wheel hex adapters and nuts, wing buttons, and suspensions arm mount plates. The kit also features a steel central diff case and steel shock pivot balls. Included will be also a set of all-terrain tyres on black wheels and a clear bodyshell.

HPI Savage XS Flux Vaughn Gittin Jr. Signature Edition

HPI Racing have introduced the Savage XS Flux Vaughn Gittin Jr. Signature Edition of their popular mini-size electric monster truck. The truck features green springs and wheels with HB Power Pin tyres along a cool geometric bodyshell design from Vaughn’s drift competition livery. The Savage XS retains the composite TVP (Twin Vertical Plate) chassis, 3S LiPo compatibility, waterproof electronics and super-durable drivetrain and suspension it is known for. Capricorn LAB P-1 200mm pan car kit

Italian company Capricorn have released first renderings of their forthcoming LAB P-1 200mm pan car kit. The car is based on a narrow carbon fibre chassis, it utilises a class-standard reactive castor double wishbone frontend, a battery compartment for standard or shorty batteries as well as a large volume centre shock and dual roll dampers. A sliding rear axle design allows for virtually step-less axle height adjustment. The kit is rounded out by an aerodynamically-shaped front bumper.
