Mugen MBX6E M-Spec Electric buggy

Mugen Seiki Racing have introduced the new 1/8 scale MBX6E M-Spec factory built Electric buggy. The MBX6E is based off their championship winning MBX6 buggy platform but sold in their M-Spec version which is built to Mugen’s specifications. All the differential and shock oils, shock springs, ride height, camber and caster adjustments are straight from the Mugen race team. The world of 1/8 Electric buggy racing just got much easier with the MBX6E M-Spec. Expect a January 2011 release date.

McPappy Racing Dart 2.5 oval chassis

McPappy Racing have introduced the Dart 2.5 and have released a Dart 2.5 Standard Kit and a Dart 2.5 Team Kit. This newest version was designed to stay flatter and turn harder and it has an offset and super offset T-plate position. Shorter wheelbase and lightened pod plates, the left side of the chassis was moved out .100″ to increase the left weight percentage and also taking advantage of the newest Protoform D-HD nationwide body. The LiPo strap brace was moved to the rear of the battery allowing the battery to move toward the LF wheel. This increased front weight percentage. They also added new rubber o-rings designed to work with the carbon fiber flex braces which eliminates all tweaking and finally new standoffs flatten the angle of the side shocks which in testing, has all proven to be better.

Awesomatix touring car close to completion

Russian company Awesomatix, who we have been following over the past few years, has gotten in touch with us to show off their almost final car. The car in the photos is 99% production version, with some small part colours and material changes still expected before the final release. This extremely unique car can accept a transverse and longitudinal motor layout and comes supplied with the two different motor mounts as well as two different upper decks for fine tuning the flex of the car. Their team is currently giving the car its final shakedown and will be ready in time for the following rounds of the Euro Touring Series, the next of which takes place in February in Austria.

Having brought you details on the new TLR 22 2wd buggy from Team Losi Racing, our friends over at Live RC sat down and talked with product development manager Todd Hodge about the development process of this all new car as well as the new TLR branding. A second video below show Dustin Evans run the new 22 for the first time at the Scotty Ernst’s Spektrum race that is taking place as Trackside Hobbies this weekend.

Xray M18 Pro LiPo

Xray have released the M18 Pro LiPo, the latest addition to the Xray family it features an all-new chassis, top deck, and battery holder system. Available as a black graphite kit, with silver and blue conversions, it builds upon its previous generation by offering an update that accommodates the latest generation of LiPo battery technology.

Team Losi 22 1:10 Electric 2WD Racing buggy

Team Losi have introduced the all-new “22” 1:10 Electric 2WD Racing buggy which they claim redefines the norm and raises the standard that all 1:10 electric off road racing buggies will be marked by. For the past few months, the TLR team have quietly been gathering data, testing prototypes and accruing information about the 1:10 off-road global race scene. The 22 is the result of many months of hard work and countless hours and thousands of laps of testing. S-Workz S350 BK-1 Pro kit

Having released tentative information on their new S350 Bk1 buggy, S-Workz have now given us the full lowdown on their new chassis. This Pro Kit comes fully loaded with S-Workz Factory Team optional parts that add strength and performance. The design team put a lot of effort into the weight distribution of the S350 BK1 and this contributes a greatly to the car performance and general car setup. Equipped with Big Bore Shocks and oil filled differentials, the S350 delivers good traction and great balance on any off road tracks, while the pivot ball steering system gives the driver a good feel while driving the S350 BK1. The Standard set up is a very easy and good start for any drivers. A fairly standard car configuration the only real stand out feature is the dust protection system on all 4 wheels.

TQ Racing SX10 4w Pro buggy

TQ Racing have released their SX10 4w Pro. Starting with a well balanced and solid platform created by the SX10 4w, the Pro version adds some of the aluminium and carbon goodies racers want. The biggest changes include a 3mm woven graphite chassis with composite side skirts. Also updated is the woven graphite two piece top deck, front and rear shock towers while the new aluminium pieces include front and rear arm mounts, motor mount and rear hubs.
